Are we going to greet the coach again before the game need to organise it.

I've heard there will be some songs and some flares. I'm sure a few will 'greet' the away coach too.

The home games are always so important in the playoffs. I personally think Boro will be kicking themselves, they'll be so dejected after that (they looked it). They gave everything in that first half, so much so that they were blowing out of their arses in the 2nd half - so they exerted all of that, but have nothing to show. I think Hull will have similar regrets from last night, they didn't really make the most of their home game.

Absolutely. I remember how draining "Pochettino ball" was for us, and Boro's first half pressing was like that. Let's hope that there's not enough recovery time for them between now and Tuesday night.

Also, we have enough depth to freshen things up without needing to change our style and tactics. If Hackney didn't make the bench for them today, with pressure on them to win the home leg, he's probably doubtful for Tuesday 🤞.

Sort out what ever happened on the first half today, fancy us to win

We essentially had no centre forward because Larin was getting bullied and having a terrible game. Makes it very difficult to play the way we do without someone who can play with their back to goal and hold the ball up. Especially when we were getting pinned in deep as much as we were, the balls just coming straight back.
Stewart came on and made it stick a few times and we managed to get further up the pitch and grew into the game and probably should have nicked it 1-0.

If Larin starts again on Tuesday then he needs to grow a pair and start winning some 50/50’s rather than just conceding the duel before the ball has even got there.

Never been a giant fan of it, think it’s a bit scouse and a bit noddy.

BUT, if ever there was ever a time to recreate that WBA pregame and atmosphere to show the club we’re still behind them 100% then Tuesday is it.

It's Scouse and noddy to create an atmosphere?

If we play like we did for the majority of the second half today (more like how we normally play) then I think we'll win. I genuinely don't believe Middlesbrough could play much better than they did today, yet they couldn't beat us.

The welcome parade and pyro stuff is yeah.

I'll be having a few beers, arrive about five minutes before kick off after a Jimmy riddle and then try to shout as loud as I can for 90 minutes. Hopefully that's sufficient.

If we beat Boro on Tuesday the meltdown from some of their pathetic fans will be very funny. I was as annoyed as anyone about this whole thing but the reactions from some of their fans is really pathetic. If they lose on Tuesday they can have no complaints given how wasteful they were today.

Just watched a Boro post match reaction YouTube video calling for us to be kicked out of the playoffs. Bunch of twats I hope we smash them on Tuesday.

Troy Deeney has said on CBS he wants Boro to batter Saints.

He’d know how.

Anyone who thinks it’s ok to kick someone’s head in while they’re lying on the ground already seriously injured is an absolute cunt of a human being, of the highest order. Nerve of that prick to be taking the moral high ground on anything.

The players from that night still talk about it now, I’m sure Captain Jack said from that welcoming they knew they weren’t going to lose that night. Needs to happen again.

Fellows cannot start Tuesday, I’m not even sure I’d start Azaz after today as it’s clear the Boro connection gets to him. All 3 games against them he’s been utterly anonymous. Can't afford to play with any passengers.

Oh and lastly would it be too much to ask for one or two of the players to put some proper bloody studs on their boots. Been bad the last 2 games at home with players slipping up and it was the same at Boro today.

He's always been a grade A cunt. I hope we win and play the pantomime villain for the rest of this thing. Fuck it and fuck them.

Hard to disagree with any of this.

I also agree with the OPs comments.

I think Middlesbrough have absolutely shit the bed today.

They riled the fans up, the team were seen to be going 100 miles an hour for the first half and didn’t capitalise.
Second half they were pretty ordinary by the sounds of it, and nearly lost it.

The manager sounds dejected and is now throwing the “it’s unacceptable for Southampton” even more than he previously was.

Pre-game he played it down massively.

Their fans sound dejected and angry and they sound nervous ahead of Tuesday night.

Rattled northerners are the funniest.

Absolutely. The weird little freaks have lost their mind so much they don’t know which way to turn.

At least if the game goes to penalties, we have a trusty penalty taker... Peretz scored two League penalties early in his career.

They’ve got so wound up they forget about the tie altogether.

They need to regroup quickly.

All that said we were far from perfect.

They seem incredibly insecure about the whole situation.

They have no confidence in their side to beat us so are convincing themselves we will be thrown out of the play offs.

Matsuki and Stewart to start

as for Boro, Christ, some of their fans have gone insane online. Some are suggesting an 8 figure fine at a minimum, and if not, Gibson to sue the club for £200m

I thought northerners were tough old boots

Has anyone got any links to any of the online stuff the boro fans are saying ? I fancy a bit of light entertainment this morning. Thanks if you can.

I get it, they are furious, plenty here would be. But £200m legal challenges, 8 figure fines, expulsion, points deduction, and everything as extreme.

I can see a fine in excess of £1m and a suspended points thingy

A handful have really gone to town.

Referencing F1, not sure how you can compare a technical sport like that to football.

And somebody saying QPR were fined £40m. I dont even know what the context is there.

The trouble with us is that we have underestimated the seriousness of the event. We think that it is a case of somebody standing on a hill and watching Boro train. The fans on their forum clearly know that all season we have been strangling cats, threatening referees and sending Saints Foundation money to Putin. No wonder we deserve the punishments that they are advocating.

And apparently we have to pay Wrexham £6m and Oxford ( wtf) £3m. Im sure a lot of their fans are quite level headed but some of this is just a bit weird.

I honestly cant imagine that someone within the club would've really sanction something as stupid as this, we really dont have the need. Would like the club to make a statement.

Going to really enjoy it when we smash these sad northern cunts Tuesday.

Although actually felt a bit sorry for them all in their great big coats, shivering whilst we were in a pub garden in shorts watching the game. Life isn’t fair.

I would like to know how much the BBC pay this cunt for his team of the week? Garth Crooks was bad enough.

All that TV licence money going to a proper crook in Troy Deeney.

They’re so hysterical I’m genuinely expecting some of them to be advocating jail time for our staff. It sums the weak little sweethearts up that I wouldn’t be surprised to see it suggested.
