Good point, maybe he's been brought on for the inevitable civil suit that follows our expulsion.

If there is no reversal tonight (and I think unlikely, best case we get the 4 points back), I think it’s virtually certain there will be follow up litigation.

Wonder if someone misheard before reporting what was said:  “I’ve just heard Parsons call the Lord in panic ..”

Fair play, didn’t think someone could have that many unhinged views on the situation,

what did he have to say? He seems to have become a bit odd, after the play off semi final second leg most of hi match report was slagging off how crap the fans were.

He's a proper knob, his aim seems to be to rile other posters for clicks.

Heard on BBC news earlier that there was no appeal to CAS. No idea if other routes are open to either party after this.

@Miltonaggro. What say you about Lord P?

Well he was one of my father-in-law's pupils, and remember him telling me around 2015 that in the modern era that he was the best there was - this was prior to the sports practice.  Regardless of their seniority the panel will be unsettled by his presence, and my guess is that DP has been brought in to tell the EFL their horoscope, as I mentioned before.  I would take it as a sign that Solak is not going to roll over.

Lord Pannick KC. Fucking wow. We have gone right to the very top, I’m buoyed by that. He is the best of the best.

Is he likely to have taken on a lost cause or would he only have taken it on because he thinks there's a good chance of overturning the original verdict?

Who knows but you don’t get to be as famous as he is in legal circles if you lose a lot of cases. City brought him in for a reason…

If he does manage to overturn it, Southampton Central needs to be renamed after him.

We can apparently take out a High Court injunction to prevent the final being played

I have it on good authority he’s taken this case on a ‘no win no fee basis’.

ignore, S Clarke beat me to it, story of my life, always late to the party.

I suspected this was one of the avenues we'd go down to give us more time. But it would royally fuck Hull off and, as I said earlier today, it's a World Cup year and time is fleeting for a rescheduled fixture.

Reminds me of the surgeon I saw about removing my prostate cancer. He was reluctant to take on my case because he thought I would upset his statistics.

Of course that's not exactly what he said but we all know what he meant. And this is a surgeon who loves cutting people open.

Holy shit that would be mental. If expulsion was the EFLs nuclear option then that is definitely ours - mutually assured destruction, maybe it'll work.

I think that's the angle they'll go down

High end lawyer to hold their feet to the fire and say if you don't overturn tonight, this is what will happen. It's bad, but it'll tie them in knots and force their hand

Are we pretty much resigned to the fact we are not getting back in? Was wondering what everyone’s thinking? Me not a chance!
