Mr X Posted Saturday at 14:55 Posted Saturday at 14:55 Question has sticking with Tonda caused us more or less damage in the long run? Do you predict we will crumble when the new or interim manager arrives?

The constant posts from people getting wound up about it are tragic and funny in equal measure. I don’t agree. People have genuine anxiety about it, myself included. As you said, probability dictates that someone knows something. So someone pretending to know something can be anxiety inducing up until the point it’s obvious that they’re pretending. That uncertainty, and the vested interest is what they’re relying on. I don’t think that makes it harmless or tragic. If someone cares about something deeply it makes it very difficult to be objective, or accurately assess the credibility of a source. 1

Regardless, the simple point remains. If you believe a claim about information to be bullshit, treat it accordingly and move on. I don't know whether MB has or hasn't heard anything, but he's merely said that we should hear something. Hardly ground breaking, or anything to get upset or anxious about. Re that last part. Most people have the common sense to appreciate that a source cannot be identified, or even hinted at, for reasons that should be obvious. If a forum user feels that they have a right to drill down to "assess the credibility of a source" that's a bit daft given it's bloody obvious that they won't get that information. 4

Just because the info correlates with what has already been rumoured doesn't prove he's just making it up, so why do you have to be such a cunt to him about it? Why can't you just ignore him if you don't believe it's legit? It's no wonder many of the previous ITK posters don't bother anymore if they're just gonna get abused for it. The legitimate ITKs post when they have stuff to share and their comments are always well received. The chancers and wind up merchants tend to get what they deserve (and likely want), subject to how they pitch it. Edited Saturday at 23:19 by Saint86 3
Mr X Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Wish they would just get the hell on with it and announce a ban we all know that's what he's going to get Its just a matter of how long! I can understand why they did for stability reasons but Personally think the club were naive to stick with him, once you are tarred with being a cheat you are always going to be damaged goods and it will be difficult to. Repair the reputation of the club with him here 3

Repair the reputation of the club with him here Exactly my thoughts, Tonda has been great but we should have sacked him the moment it all broke. it’s just delaying the inevitable that we will be looking for another manager, possibly less then a week before we play little Portsmouth in their big cup final. if we’d had sacked Tonda back in May this would have all been over with by now. 3 1

Does he not realise that, had it not been for us spying (I use the term spying in the loosest terms possible), they would not have been granted their second chance to appear in the Play-Off Final? Maybe he should address his disappointment to the manager of Boro who resided over a team who put in one of the weakest, most inept performances I've ever seen at Wembley especially considering the magnitude of what was at stake. He could then have given Kim Heldberg something to really cry about. 1

Their mentality over all this is extremely weird. Sure laugh at us for getting caught and being kicked out but to then kind of make out they’ve been wronged is crazy. 7
Willo of Whiteley Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago On a complete side note, given over the last few months Tonda and his party have had a baby, he’s had death threats, upped security and the pressure on him - it must be an incredibly tough period for him. They shouldn’t be grizzle gutting about how tough it all was, they should STFU and wonder how they’re the only team to ever lose a semi final and a final in the same competition. 4

Thereisonlyonemickychannon Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Wednesday will be the day. No news for Sky etc other than Tonda's long ban. FA said after international break. I am anxious.
saintant Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It has to be today surely especially if it's a lengthy ban. The FA must give us at least the whole of this week to appoint a replacement whether that is a temporary replacement from within the club or a permanent new manager. The way this whole saga has been handled so far I'll not be holding my breath.

We are the biggest cheats in global sporting history, and winding up the club, demolishing St Mary's, and pouring salt onto the pitch would hardly come close to an appropriate punishment. 1 1

Liverpool have a rival for the Biggest Victims 2026 at this years awards. Middlesbrough have been out of the Premier League for a decade, and before that have only played four seasons in the top flight in the last twenty years. They knew that last season was their best chance, and after bottling the autos fucked up the playoffs twice. In corporate psychology terms this is a classic case of projection and the scapegoating the threat of a more competent rival, probably allied to the fact that deep down they know that their level is a middling football league club in a post industrial hellscape. 'Spygate' (ffs) has got them some attention and indulgence mainly fuelled by the slurry king cunt of a Chairman calling in favours, it will pass.
Pamplemousse Posted 29 minutes ago Posted 29 minutes ago They also had quite the windfall this summer in terms of transfers - the sell on for Morgan Rogers alone was a record. So if they don't go up this year, that will cement their status as the country's number 1 bottle jobs.
