By all accounts (from what I have heard) he is a top bloke and a top pro.  I’d send him out on loan with a recall option in case anything happens to Peretz.

That's what I'd say about a player I was trying to get rid of 😆

Yep, might as well as have him as our number 2 keeper, we are paying him and he`s decent

On 60k per week, making Peretz uncomfortable with all the noise around Ramsdale.

So if we don’t off load Ramsdale he is for me a better keeper than Peretz and should be #1.

Surprised anyone who watched them both for saints would think this. Peretz number 1 for me, and by a distance.

I wouldn't say there is much difference between the two. Certainly not by a distance.

Peretz wants to be here and is presumably on lower wages which is why he would be my number 1.

All about opinions but he played in that disastrous PL season. Without him that season it would have been significantly worse.

I like DP but if he has many more games like Tuesday and AR is still at Saints then how long will it be before everyone is calling for a change?

fans are becoming more and more impatient

Reflects poorly on him IMO. He could have played for 4 months last season and someone would have panic purchased him in January. Instead he sat on a bench and they still didn't want him. Very strongly seems he refuses to play for us, mad we couldn't come to any agreement in 2 years in which he wants a game. Based on nothing whatsoever but to be honest I wonder if he's not very likeable.

I'd assumed it was the club not wanting him  to play cos we don't wanna pay his wage rather than him not wanting to play, I'm not ITK but he seems to be well liked and he played for the 21s the other day , that doesn't seem like a big ego move to me, I hope it works out for him but his career has completely fallen apart since coming here , it's been mentioned on here about the modern keeper needing to be good with his feet and he's not that player, championship is probably his level now but his wage is going to prohibit that happening I guess, I've no idea what's next for him , maybe competition to Peretz is becoming more likely?

Anyone know how much Peretz is earning?

Almost certainly he will go abroad on loan I reckon.

I like Ramsdale and think he is decent, not top class PL standard but good. If he was to stay and compete with Peretz I do not believe there is a better GK department in the Championship, maybe even some PL clubs would be envious. I think we probably sell if get the right offer but its looking less and less likely that that will happen. Maybe AR himself is in that headspace which would be good.

Some people thinking that Ramsdale will be staying is insane. Absolute worst case scenario he will be off on loan somewhere with us paying a percentage of his wages. We aren't going to get into a situation where he sits on our bench all season whilst we pay 100% of his wages.

Ramsdale is a much better keeper than peretz, by a distance.  Peretz is like grobelaar (agility king, but ultimately very flappy) ramsdale is like niemi (far more rounded, good shot stopper and makes sensible decisions).

Harwood Bellis going? Villa need to stop pissing about and put 30 mil down.

What's up with Jander ? Genuinely injured or is going to be sold at the last minute?

Business wise what else do we need ?

How many more incomings and outgoings?

Another centre back and target man striker ? I'd also like to see a right winger.

After jwp and assuming Edozie goes we need

Backup GK

CB

Attacker

Winger

I assume BBD and Bazunu are off shortly therefore we still need to dispose of

Downs

Sugawara

Ramsdale

Archer

And THB will be off so need to finalise that ASAP.

They'll probably happen later this evening as nitrates are cheaper than day rates... 😁

Pingpong is the sound a thought makes as it bounces around the empty cavern which is the inside of his skull.

But his salary to sit on the bench is not good value for money.

We have back up players in every position. Are they not good value for money too?

He's contacted until 2028, so just one more loan to arrange and then we are free.

No, we will sign a reserve keeper and replacement for THB.

So our midfield options will be Downes, Jander, JWP, Bragg and Matsuki.

Very lightweight imo.

Plus a nippy right winger.

Personally don’t think we will get a keeper.

Adam Markhiev - who Nurnberg signed to replace Jander - is one we did like but not sure if a) we’ll be signing another CM or b) whether we’d want to still do business with them following the stories of the potential legal action they want to take against us.

We need 3 keepers when Rambo and Baz leave

Might be more of a case of whether they want to do business with us.

Even if they do, is there any reason we want to sign a 'Jander replacement'' ?

Because Jander is likely to leave next year like every man and his dog knows.

Even if we are promoted? Would need to be a big club making the bid for that to happen.

So not critical to sign the bloke this year then.

As MLG has said next summer might depend on which division we're in.

It would help our cause a bit yes but suspect he’d be keen to eye up a run at the German national team for the Euros and would take instruction from Klopp/coaches etc.

I don’t think anyone mentioned critical did they? Might just be an opportunity that comes up.

Would also reiterate what Eckert said in a press conference recently: There are players in this squad looking to spend 2 years here and then move on.

There’re like 20 out of the 22 other clubs in this league who’d take that over what they have. Would you swap JWP and Jander for Smallbone and Aribo, because that’s what we got promoted with last time?
