I think we will end up getting the Norwegian CB. I think at this time in the window it’s not really worth following the minute by minute tweets as things change quickly and what’s being reported probably isn’t current information. I can’t see us letting THB leave and not replacing him.

Peretz fine, Stephens needs to focus on himself (thats hard enough), JWP (time will tell).  We need someone who can command the back line not to mention the passes THB could make which often started an attack.

Yes but you know every club will be after more than their players are worth at this stage. Hence why Viking won't sell us Falchener.

Charlie Austin has been on a pod saying that the rest of the 24 man squad hated him. Hoedt said the squad was 25 - Charlie (his account so due scepticism) reminded him that he was the 25th man in the squad. Could all be bollocks but Wesley did always give off the billy big one’s attitude.

I have been concerned that this might happen in terms of our centre backs. We've lost THB and Quarshie and brought in Schlotterbeck so the club are possibly taking the view that we only need a replacement for Quarshie and they see Luca Reggiani as an upgrade which few would dispute.

Feels a bit amateurish, this transfer window. Like they have their notebook and are crossing names off. I'm sure it's more professional than that and it will all be rosy.  But...

Depends how the club view it and how much they trust Stephens and Wood to share the main duties with Schlotterbeck. If they are happy with them (which they were last season) then we only need to replace Quarshie.

If we never had this spying bollocks stuff in the balance then I’m sure we would of been the second most attractive club in the championship.

JWP was never in our top 10 options but we got him over the line as he wanted to come home.

If we don’t get a decent CB and that costs us promotion then arguably it’ll cost more than the difference for Falchener. If that’s the case it’s short sighted and amateurish.

This will be how most transfer windows for most clubs works. But once again only what is chosen to be reported in the media for clicks is relevant and sets the narrative. That is the important bit.

You’ve said we want a cb a winger and big target man but Alfie house says that we only will get a cb. Was your info based on anything of substance and are you still confident we will get all 3?

If our budget after selling THB is genuinely £10m, that buys you a lot of CB in the Championship. 
 

There is also the very real possibility of not selling him if we don’t have a replacement lined up. Sure will cost a few million through to January, but not getting promoted will cost a shit tonne more.

I was told prior to the season starting by someone i trust who has a very good contact at the club that Stephens was not considered to be a starting 11 player this season. I could only assume that when he appeared in the first 2 games that this statement was refering to after the close of the transfer window!
