Osvaldorama Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Bugger. Thought he was gonna get a second at the end there. 1
Turkish Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Well he made a difference. Scored nearly got the winner a constant threat, also did well helping out at the back. Considering the hype around Jonathan David, Larin look head and shoulders a better player. We might have just found a gem here 7
Baird of the land Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Like watching canada weird decision not to play larin, then only give him 15 minutes off the bench. 1
Jimmy_D Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Larin looks so confident at the moment. Really promising for next season 2
AlexLaw76 Posted 19 hours ago Author Posted 19 hours ago I remember thinking Larin was a fucking donkey when he signed. Crap 1st half of a season, Sports Republic signing, followed Damion Downs.... He is a proper striker, certainly for the Championship. 4
obelisk Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Quite some pace in that Canada side. Looked good going forward until it came to actually showing some final third composure and sticking the ball in the net. Looked poor defending set pieces as well.
Pilchards Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Probably keep him on the bench again and use him as an impact player. That goal he scored tonight was a Rickie Lambert (England) moment in my household. 2

AlexLaw76 Posted 19 hours ago Author Posted 19 hours ago I do not think that was a red card (had it been onside). 1
saintant Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Oi Jesse, you've got a proven goal scorer...don't leave him sat on the bench until the match is nearly over, give him time to win you the game.

Jonathan David has been playing in serie A and Europe for Juventus, he’s got a goal a goal every other game for Canada. Larins been on loan in the championship after struggling in Spain and Holland. Not really weird decision unless you’re a saints fan. However I refer to my post above about his impact in this game
Turkish Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Thank fuck Jesse Marsch never took the saints job. Imagine having that for your post match interviews every week 2

I don’t think it should be but equally I can see rooney’s point when in the modern game outfield players can get sent off for winning the ball but be done for excessive force/endangering opponent.

Sarnia Cherie Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago One of my favourite pastimes when these big tournaments are on. Spot the Saint, past and present. Surprising who pops up.
OneMrsWallace Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Really pleased for him. We want him back full of confidence and ready to smash them in for us next season. 1
SNSUN Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Anyone bar me watching at this ungodly hour? USA actually look decent so far but against a poor Paraguay who just scored an own goal. Shame Damion Downs didn't get picked - a goal or two in this tournament and he may have been more sought after. "A goal or two" Hahahaha that's funny. 1

Their cocky fans have been doing my head in during the build up to the tournament. Even with average players, Poch can get a good unit going. Atmosphere is fucking shocking though.
Saint_clark Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Didn't expect to be watching George Lucas eat a donut live on TV at 2:29am. Not sure I'm actually awake.

Saint Billy Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago USA looking good. Poch looks like he enjoys the portion sizes in the USA. 6
Edmonton Saint Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago USA been superb so far. Could easily be up by 5 or 6.
SNSUN Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Poch has definitely put together a good soccerball team. Go Team America.
Jimmy_D Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Classing diving as mistaken identity is an interesting interpretation. I'm in favour of that if it stops blatant diving. 2
St. Ciervo Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago That was a great call and could make such a difference in all leagues. How Almiron could complain afterwards is beyond me.
lambtiss Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Cracking goal from Larin. Sure, the shot got a slight deflection, but the way he held players off, turned and got a strong shot off was top drawer. Only a last minute lunge from a defender denied him a winner. He is full of confidence and on fire. Thank god he signed a contract before the rest of the world saw how good he is at the moment. 5
Saint NL Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago https://www.dailymail.com/sport/football/article-15896595/england-world-cup-heist-kansas-florida.html Boots and Balls stolen 🤦
Convict Colony Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago gonna give the 2am kick off a swerve tonight, no one wants to watch 2 impoverished 3rd world nations play terrible football all as an excuse to gain entry into the us 🤣
Window Cleaner Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago 7 hours ago, SNSUN said: Poch has definitely put together a good soccerball team. Go Team America. Far better than I gave them crédit for. Mind you i've only got to half time so far. Dest has surprised me, along with the other centre back (not Ream). Balogun I knew about, seen him with Monaco. Nice shirts...
whelk Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Cracking game for the peak Saturday tv night slot - Qatar v Switzerland. I suppose could have a nap and then be awake for the Jocks 2

Convict Colony Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Yeah honestly im watching most of these games purely for the banter though. Brazil tonight will be good tho
Convict Colony Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Based off what i saw last night, the american players who had him as coach before I'm coming round to the view that Jesse Marsch might be the north american Roberto Martinez.
