I'm on the train but my friend has just phoned me to say that she's been held up on the M27 by the convoy. Lots of blues everywhere and even a police helicopter! It really is over the top..

There are no police choppers when transporting convicted criminals.  Why do we have them today?

What do they think is going to happen?  Overpower the driver and stop the bus?

Checking the bridges ahead of the convoy for Saints fans planning on throwing bricks or petrol bombs. Not even joking, that's what they are using to justify it.

Stephens should start.

Momentum, form and basically everything else is with us today. Not that any of that matters. Offer Tonda a new deal contingent on us winning this afternoon.

2-0 win. Larin to score and then JWP to seal it late on.

Absolute rubbish

Thinking back to that home game last season. Long balls up to 5 ft Cameron Archer. Just ridiculous.

Play our football and we'll have too much for them.

Actually that friend really does have a PPL(H), and she's always looking to build her hours!..

We will win this.

Last year they got into our heads during the international break, this break has all been about Tonda.

Player for player we win every battle.

Three in midfield... Is today really the day to start experimenting with a new formation...? Hmm...

Could be JWP RW, but more likely Azaz.

Same formation as Coventry, looking to win the midfield kick fest and get Azaz space wide.

Presumably we are changing formation unless Azaz is going to play right wing. Not sure why Capn Jack has been brought back for this game. Got to hope he doesn't fuck up.

Three centre midfielders by the looks of it. Who’s playing on the right??

JWP?

Before Ralph converted him to a CM, his best position used to be on the right of a 4231.

But is he better on the right than Matsuki or Fellows?

What minute for Captain Jack's first fuck up?

Not sure but it probably means walking football is back 🙂

He's infinitely better at crossing than either of them.

Maybe Matsuki isn't being risked because he's been away with Japan and will have only been back a few days, and Fellows is just well out of form and favour this season.

Never a fan of new fucking formations against these cunts. Did it last year too I seem to remember.

Good. I want to see us absolutely bossing the midfield, and JWP having the chance to get forward a bit more and be more creative higher up the pitch.

3-1 today.

Why are we dicking about with it? Matsuki had a great international break as well. Bragg needs to up his game today can't be carrying anyone.

Maybe he’s come back knackered. I expect an intense start so no harm having quality to come on later. Still agree with the sentiment it’s odd to be making the change but hopefully it’s all part of Tonda’s master plan …

Yeah fair enough. Hopefully someone comes out of nowhere to make themselves a hero - my money's on a mobbin' for Dobbin.

Not in my book.   Scienza the only attacking runner.   Looks unbalanced to me - why Bragg?

Hmmm, not sure about that line up change, especially Bragg. Where’s our new highly rated CB that hasn’t had a look in yet?

McAnuff spouting nonsense again then. If he's an FA non-exec Director then I'm not sure why he's being given the chance to dribble all over our screens yet again.

Is it me or do the players look far too tense here...? Give us a smile chaps!

Match day heads on here - there's a big job to be done. We can save the smiles for when we've hopefully bagged the 3 points and bragging rights.

You wanted to start the new boy against this lot?!

Not at all, I wanted to see him 3 or 4 games ago when we signed him and he was apparently quite the coup and an expected THB replacement. Choosing between Wood and Stephens is a bit like a toss up between getting kicked in the bollocks or punched in the bollocks.

Guy Whittingham having a mare on Radio Solent after claiming that Saints have nobody in the dressing room who grew up and understands the derby, totally forgetting about JWP. Blackmore suggests that having to go to Fratton Park as a child probably put him off Portsmouth for life.

The sooner Zack Abbott is integrated the better.

Not even on the bench. Must be thrilled with the loan so far!
