Harry_SFC Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Fair result for sure. Could've won it with Dobbin but easily could've lost too. Send Mubama back in January please. 10

AlexLaw76 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Mubama....clearly another Larin needed in Jan what a terrible performance.... 8
Sheaf Saint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago A handful of Brom fans have stayed behind to sing "You cheating bastards, you know what you are" while we salute the fans. Aw, bless them. 2
Roo1976 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago just about right we weren’t in it first half second more like it,fuck me don’t we miss a forward just knew Dobbin wasn’t confident to score, and azaz with a bit more luck with the composure could have scored from thier keepers awful pass into trouble, they came close aswell so yes happy with that.
Turkish Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 8 of our first 14 games been against the top 12, won 5 drew 3. That’s impressive 13
Saint_clark Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Larin better not be going off to Canada in the upcoming international break. 3
LGTL Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Good point but we simply have to beat Preston. They’re absolutely abysmal. 3
Dman Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Come the end of the season, a draw at the hawthorns could be a massive result. Another game unbeaten and great second half. A good point all things considered. unfortunately lack of replacement for Stewart is why we didn’t win the game though… Never want to see Mubama in a saint shirt again. 10

Patrick Bateman Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Just now, Harry_SFC said: Fair result for sure. Could've won it with Dobbin but easily could've lost too. Send Mubama back in January please. Just said that, awful signing. Start with Dobbin I think we win that. Edozie needed a rocket up his arse at half time, but that shouldn't have to happen. I'd have taken 1-1 before and after than awful first half where we played with 9 men, I'd definitely take 1-1. Should've won though, but there we go. Lots of misplaced passes today, it happens, can't be on it all the time and right now with the 4 points back, we'd be top, so all is good. Now to thrash Preston, get that all important goal difference up more. 2
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago That was some second half. Cracking stuff to watch, both teams going full pelt. After the first half, I'd have been delighted with a point. After our chances in the second, we could have got the win. WBA fans may think they could have nicked it, towards the end too. Tonda must have had a right go at them at half time, about their energy and drive. Aided by Downes based on his reaction to his teammates in the first half. Shout outs for Matsuki and Bree, both of whom worked their socks off to get us back into attack, and a pressing system. That gave Azaz and Sam some time to get into things. JWP happy to be everywhere to support that. We got glimpses of lots of our individual weak points tonight. But credit for showing lots of our better ones, and can't complain at an away point against a side that's also looking at promotion. 12
davefizzy14 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Decent point. We were superb second half and on another day we win it. COYR 😊 Edited 1 hour ago by davefizzy14 2
OneMrsWallace Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Hoped for 3 points but will take 1 after the first half performance. Was about to slam Edozie then he scored of course. We need to buy a striker in January (Shock). A win on Saturday and we're well set for the break.
saintant Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Matsuki man of the match for me especially as he provided the headed assist to make sure even Edozie couldn't miss. 5 1
Saint Fan CaM Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Need Cardiff and Wrexham to have decent games tomorrow night
bpsaint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) 10 minutes ago, saint francis said: Manager doesn't shake hands with Tonda? Noticed that, but then Tonda was already on the pitch shortly after so might be that they’d already done so before the cameras were pointed at the bench. Delighted with a draw after that atrocious first half, can’t help but wonder what might have been if we’d had a fit Larin tonight. For all the anger about the EFL giving us a minus 4 point start we’d have made that up by now if Dobbin could finish. Have to say I hope that’s the last time I see Mubama in a Saints kit, complete non entity and another Sport Republic recruitment masterclass. Edited 1 hour ago by bpsaint 3
Pilchards Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I just think we are a fitter team than anyone else we play. At times we only played with 9 players this evening so I guess a point is a cracking result. Win on Saturday where Preston have been dog 💩 then we have two more winnable games in Derby and Sheffield UTD. Yes this team are certainly going to get that top two place if we carry on battling like the second half this evening. Remember we have Larin, Leo and Casper to come back in. 3
SNSUN Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Could be 7 points behind Boro tomorrow but obviously we have to play them twice yet, but for me with the 4 points deficit we just need to keep pace with second place. A point keeps us behind Brum by two points as it stands (could be Wolves by 3 points tomorrow), which is not a big gap. 2
Harry_SFC Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 2 minutes ago, saintant said: Matsuki man of the match for me especially as he provided the headed assist to make sure even Edozie couldn't miss. Yep Matsuki was very good. Bree as well. Our right side is very strong. 2
Jaime Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Given the embarrassing no-show in the first half, a point away from tonight is a good point. The performance and use of only 2 subs also shows that the squad lacks depth for injuries. I know Tonda likes a small squad, but the bench tonight was lightweight and not strong enough for a sustained promotion push 2
Sheaf Saint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Happy enough with a draw, especially given how poor we were first half. Could have won it, but equally could easily have conceded more as well. Brom probably the best team we've played so far. 1
OnceaSaintalwaysaSaint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 22 minutes ago, Saint Fan CaM said: Massive chance for Dobbin! Yes he missed that chance, but he was 100% improvement on Mubama. His speed of press caused their keeper problems and created chances; he got in to much better positions than Mubama; held the ball up on a couple of occasions and created a positivity up front that we were lacking. Second half was a really good watch. Two top teams playing. 3

The Dobbin who missed an absolute sitter today, as well the chances he missed against Bolton? If he’d taken the easy chances he’s been presented with this season, we’d have 4 more points. 2
RedArmy Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Definitely one of those games where you want players like Larin, Scienza and Jander coming off the bench to get you over the line. Larin and Jander would have scored those chances that Downes and Dobbin had that’s for sure. 2
sfc4prem Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago That ball through to Dobbin came off the back of some quick interplay, confident, incisive and attack minded. Really lovely to see. 6
Saint_lambden Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Meh - take the point after such an awful first half performance. 2 or 3 injuries and you can see how thin the squad is so definitely something we need to address in January.
Saint Pete Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Sounds like a decent away point in the end given the poor first half and key players unavailable. Probably has cemented a few truths about our squad depth though, particularly with Mubama. Action needed there in January you feel. 1

Saint_clark Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Just realised, top without the points deduction (I realise Boro have a game in hand). 1
SaintBobby Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Fair result. Great response in the 2nd half. WBA are good.

Yeah, Mubama is not going to cut it and we should return him to City in January. 1

We simply have to fix that in January...or at least try to....just sticking with what we have is not good enough for top 2...not with Larin's inability to play 3 times a week. 2

His ball control and drawing players out would've meant that (for example) Azaz might've had a shot from space. Who knows. Yeah he missed a sitter (and others), but, Mubama ... I can see that, but I don't think anyone is saying we are doing well, regardless. Therefore I don't see the need of bringing it up anymore. I think it'd suit us better just to remove it from the narrative - it sounds a bit whiny. 1

Also Mubama seems to have no upper body strength. 2
Patrick Bateman Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Lastly - Jimmy-Jay Morgan. Not sure we're missing much there, looked similar to Dobbin?? Almost too desperate to score too. 1
saintant Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Beat Preston and 7 points from a 3 game week with two on the road and, given our injuries, will be a decent return. 2
die Mannyschaft Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Much better 2nd half, good goal by Edozie at least he can kick ball ealy god just imagine if we had 2 strikers. Bit of luck could have won it but we completely wasted the first half. Point away though when it could have been game over by 45 mins. How on earth are Stoke above us !!

Suhari Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Very entertaining second half. Good point to get, particularly with a few injuries. Really need a couple of bodies in in January.
