Pochettino's Future

I don't want this to come across as an ITK post in any way but I will state that if we end up with Malky MacKay I will lose 100% faith in the board's ability to do the job and judgment to make the right decisions for the football club.

This is based on first hand knowledge I have of McKay. I unfortunately can't go into specific details but put it this way, he is not what the Cardiff fans would lead you to believe and if the board appoint him it just proves they haven't done the due diligence necessary.

He seems like an OK manager to me, If Pochettino goes I'd go for Sherwood.

Why aren't Everton having their players, managers ect linked with everyone? After all they had a much better season than us, aren't in the Champions league and don't appear to be that well minted.

If you believe some suggestions then an ex-chairman has been stirring the press.

Maybe that's the secret - We need to make sure our best players are already at bigger clubs and loan them in!

When I was driving home they was trailing Southampton news on Talksport. "After the break we'll find out if Pochettino is going to leave Southampton or not... And which players he is taking with him"

I turned it off

Bigging us up really, saying we should break bank to keep best players and give poch what he wants in terms of signings and let him try to get us into top 6. Also saying we could attract managers like Simeone due to money in premier league. Hmmm

To be honest what harm is giving him a fair bit for a push next season? It means we most likely will not get relegated and will have another load of wonga next season. If they want to give it a good go next season and then if we fail sell Adam and Luke and pay off the debts in one go!

I have no idea, clubs can tap up a new manager without any reference to the incumbent so I doubt that would make any difference. Sherwood's brief was clear: CL or you're out so there would be no problem speaking with other managers. FdB said they did, DL said they didn't. Probably just confusion of who is acting for whom at the end of the day. Not even convinced that Mauricio is that keen on Spurs, he just doesn't want to find himself in crap street again with a bunch of academy rookies and the fans expecting him to maintain our status from this season. If he gets reasonable support from the board I think he'll still be here come August...Therein lies the question, how much is reasonable.

This is a good point. One of the things MP did so well last season was maintaining a high standard of play with a wafer thin squad and much involvement from several academy lads who weren't ready or may never be. No wonder he would look for assurances about strengthening the squad before re-committing.

Mr Pochettino is currently having a scrummy celebratory dinner out in Southampton.

To add a little more context, theres a photo online of Pochettino today, with Jesús Pérez (for definite, maybe the others too) at Rancho Steakhouse tonight.

Here it is...

Looks more like the last supper to me, miserable bunch.

They are all looking at their phones........... Probably got texts from their Wives telling them to not even think about going to the Casino then Lap Dancing afterwards as that nice Mr Levy with huge pockets full of cash won't like that on the back page of the Sun................... (If that is Les) His is from Ralph telling him to get them roaring drunk and into some un-savoury scrapes and to stick it all on the company card.
