I’d prefer we keep Paul. Like AA, he has a good record against non-PL defenses. We can’t rely on Stewart staying fit, and need another target man.  I reckon he would be big for us in the championship.

I guess wages might be a factor too. If he’s on a wedge clearing that and bringing in a okay fee may either help us get in somebody Still wants or get us closer to being able to retain one of the handful of players we would actually be keen to keep.

 

Personally if the fee isn’t a complete piss take I’m not bothered. I don’t rate him particularly highly and think Stewart looks a better all round player - with a major caveat of ‘when fit’.

If we’re just going to hoof it long and lump it into the mixer then maybe, but I’d hope Still has got a bit more about him than that and I very much doubt that’s how we’re looking to play if we’re serious about promotion.

Onuachu can’t press for shit. He’s blowing out of his arse after 30 minutes.

He’s basically just an expensive misfit, and if someone’s willing to buy him then we should just get whatever we can for him, get him off the wage bill and move on.

not sure we'll get that from Trabzonspor. They didn't want to spend that last summer. He only has a year left on is deal now and Banza scored 19 goals for them, so is an very good option for them.

Not really. In certain situations at certain imes he'd be useful, no doubt, but he just doesn't have the fitness or mobility for the general play Still likes. Most of the time he'd not be quick enough to be there for the balls into the box, and Stewart would be better for that role. As to what we might get for our £5m, more than we have in the past..

Did we really pay £8m for Orsic as mentioned above? I constantly see posts on here which remind me of our depressing recent past..

If he wanted out, we might end up having to sell. Hopefully not the case, feels like we are the right level for him at this moment in time.

Charles not really impacting the team after spending £10m on him seemed like an unnecessary risk but this time around he appears to be the player we hoped he would be. Get him straight into the starting 11 and let his asset value continue to grow.

Suspect Man City probably have a hefty sell on fee so the price would have to be a good one for it to be worthwhile.  I don't think it'll be a particularly good move for Leeds either so hopefully we can keep him.

Another season in the Championship for Charles, as a key figure in the middle of the park alongside Downes, would be the best for his development. 

Hopefully then he can win promotion for us and we can be confident he'll be as ready as he's ever going to be to make the step up to the Premier League. Being based in the north and not far from Manchester may well be a pull though, as well as the assumption that Leeds would probably be able to pay more in wages. Anything less than £30m wouldn't be worth our while, especially on his current trajectory.

Seems a handy little player but at 5ft 5in he doesn't exactly fit the physical profile of players Spors was talking about.  Also had some issues about consistency in the second half of the season.  I guess as cover for Fernandes he might be OK but not sure he looks starting 11 material to me.  All based on nothing more than a YouTube video.
