Sounds like Guehi will be off too. Palace might be in a spot of bother

Much needed at this point, clearly we're struggling to secure any other sales (squad players like edozie, aribo, smallbone, ABK etc) and ultimately we have to make some income somewhere to complete the squad Still wants. Palace would be a superb choice for dibling in all seriousness - he will play, develop, and they will absolutely sell him on for a nice fee.

40 million with a sell on and Dibling off to palace would be good business.

Palace is definitely a better fit for him than Everton I think.

Palace would enable him to stay close to home. Based on common sentiment of his character he’d probably like that.

Hard to resist the allure of Croydon, though.

I think too much gets made of this, and he is painted as being some extremely timid lad.

he probably regretted joining Chelsea as soo. As he realised the enormity of the playing squad across all age groups, and the realisation he won’t be playing meaningful games any time soon.

that would be a very good move for him. I've never really liked Palace but can only admire what they have done, built a great team, great manager. Got themselves established in the league and built a very good group of players. Shame it looks like it's going to all be picked apart now.

I also don’t really buy that idea. People change a lot from 16->19 also. If Chelsea offered 50 he’d go I think

I’m so glad that’s never happened to us.

It only takes a penniless shyster owner, a fake sponsor, and a bullshit salesman to bring it all down.

They’re taking the piss out of us at the moment and making Spors look a complete mug. This transfer window has been nothing other than a complete shit show so far. Tick tock, tick tock.

Could Palace make a move for THB to replace Guehi?

possibly, they certainly have a good eye for a championship talent, but THB hasn't been overly impressive, even in the championship, has he?

Wharton in demand too, could be a tough few weeks..

It's impossible for all but the top two or three clubs to keep their best players,

But the window of opportunity for smaller PL clubs is bloody tiny...

Arguably takes strength of character to admit you're wrong and go back too

He was shite against Ipswich

Coming back post ankle surgery with no pre season, so not a surprise he was rusty. He was very good last time in the championship for us, a top CB at this level when fully fit.

He didn’t have a good Premier League season, but he has been a key player in two teams promoted from the Championship.

He looked very rusty vs Ipswich... but he missed most of pre-season and didn't play any friendlies.

I'm back from the pub (retirement has its advantages), evening twilight stretching across Russia/Armenia and still no news. Is that right?

.......aaaaand now we're going to get a load of posts from furious idiots on this forum who are going to believe that we can't afford or haven't offered a pay rise from some player from the Russian League that none of us had ever heard of three weeks ago.

We are paying players like Aribo fifty odd k a week. We can out-pay bloody Krasnador.

It's entirely possible this guy is not quite the world beater we think he is.

Tall Paul was banging goals in for fun in Belgium or whatever and would undoubtedly bang them in for fun in the bloody Russian League. Guess what? Krasnodor couldn't afford him.

Scored a goal against Bazunu a few years ago so that can’t be true.

So there won't be an answer today then.... This nonsense is going to to last day of the window for sure.

If he flys over to sign his contract he’s going to be writing out only 3 or 4 letters of his name a day just to drag it out, isn’t he?

I specifically used the word "impressive". Did he impress you in the championship? I haven't really made my mind up about him.

Yes, in the Championship, no in the Premier League. I wouldn't rule out that second one turning to a yes at some point.

Looks a decent player, hopefully RC Lens' board are not as delusional as ours and demand £50m + sell on clause.

Yup. Its also a better deal for all parties. They're a far nicer club with regards to current prospects, fanbase, and the general respectfulness of interclub dealings (than scummy Everton), they'll also help him develop better in an attacking team, we're far more likely to get a sell on clause that's meaningful, and he can stay closer to home/family from his side. If he's got to be sold i'm fairly content with it being palace.

I think we’ll get Spertsyan. I think it’s all but done.
I reckon the Lens guy is a smokescreen.

My next concern would then be the wide player situation.

I’ve heard that Spertsyan is a smokescreen for Lens guy. That’s the superhuman level Spors is operating at!
