Its not just about now. Dibling has a much higher ceiling IMO and I can see him eventually being a top player at a big club.

Elliot is a decent player but is being let go by a big club because he hasnt been able to properly break through after a number of years. Before this tournament they would have done well to get £30m for him I think.

Dibling is probably our best academy talent since Shaw so we should clewrly be trying to get as much as we possibly can for him, eapecially when players like Quansah cost upwards of £40m and Jobe Bellingham £30m - he is miles better than both.

Whole article seems pretty speculative but if they can pay £20m and match his wages then fair enough.

They are about to sell Igamane for a decent chunk, their first good sale for years.

But wages are a total no-go at the moment, only way it could happen is if they qualify for Champions League and we won't know that until later on in the summer.

Which they can't. He's a £20m-£25m player under contract until 2028. Their all-time transfer record paid is £12m, and that was 25 years ago when they were good and had money. Apparently he was also on £30k per week last season, so if goes he's going to want to increase that. He's 26 now, so he's got probably 5 years left to maximise his earning potential. No way can Rangers compete with what even the relegation bait down here would be able to offer him.

Downes may well leave, but it 100% won't be to Rangers.

It's almost as absurd as people suggesting Rangers could come in for Ramsdale. Look at who Rangers actually sign, what they pay for them and the wages they pay. It just has no basis in reality whatsoever.

Why on earth would any of our players consider a move to Leeds? They’ll be back down here in a year.

Ramsdale made quite a big deal of "being on the south coast" when he signed last year. For this reason alone, I believe he might actually stay, but I wonder whether Bournemouth will either loan or sign him. Signing will take 30m I imagine. Loaning is probabaly the best outcome for all parties. 

I just hope we have a complete refresh of goalkeepers and find a way of getting rid of AMC and Bazunu too. Possibly an experienced loaned this year as main man, with a couple of up and coming ones who could play this season if needed. And then if we go back up next summer AR returns, loaned GK goes back, and the other two might be good backups. If not address it then. If we do not go back up immediately, sell AR, and go from there. Year two will be much harder financially unless we've maximised sales this summer.

If all the speculation is correct the current squad will suffer a 40-50% reduction in their wages.

Elliott : 18 PL Games 1 goal 2 Assists

Dibling: 33 PL Games 2 goals 2 Assists

Seeing as Elliott was striding out for a rampant Liverpool while Dibling was slogging it out with us suggest we are probably about right in our valuation. Not to mention Dibling is 2.5 years younger I think.

Quite. I could definitely see deadwood like Fraser going there, because we'd almost certainly want rid and it could easily be the best (or only) offer he'd get. Which is very different to them realistically competing for much better players that other, much more well-off clubs might actually want.

Ryan Fraser to Rangers would be very believable. A manager who likes him, a big club in an easier league that will suit his ability - he could be a good player for them, rather than a bit part for us.

He's in a tricky space, Elliott. He's not quick enough to be a winger. Not physical enough to play deeper. And not dynamic enough to play as a 10. 

And yet he's a really talented footballer. Albeit with noodles for hair. 

I suspect he's destined for a career of mid-table mediocrity in a West Ham or a Fulham.

Why would you expect him to excite the crowd "many" times? 18 and in a shit team that since Xmas wasn't set up to play to his strengths. There's only 4 teenagers who scored more than him in the PL and 3 of those are older than him and 3 of those had played in the PL before unlike Tyler whilst the other had played for Roma and now plays for Madrid. I don't actually think it's that hard to see why people rate him highly.
