On the live reporting on the BBC you can tell there are loads of Liverpool fans “watching” for the amount of thumbs down 👎 on the pro City or negative Liverpool comments. Sad state of affairs and the reason I cannot stand them. All but 2 of the probably 20/25 or so Liverpool fans I know are actually from Liverpool. The others are Southampton, Reading, Guildford, Royston, Cambridge and Carlisle.

To be fair there are loads in Carlisle from the 70s and 80s, mixed now with Man U and Man City!

Watching the first half hour of the England game tonight is like watching Saints on a bad day. 🙁

Edit......And one minute after I posted above Saka puts England ahead. 😊

What I particularly like with Tuchel as manager, he does not seem to pander too much towards the 'hype' players or the media.

He will drop some if needed, and he is pretty straight with the moronic journos who seem to want Cole, Bellingham and Foden in the same team....Just wait until Grealish has another 7/10 game for Everton, they will be wanting him back in also.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a bit of a fanny isn’t he.

Elbows Irish player of the ball. Crying gesture to the Irish fans. Goes to VAR. Straight red card. Irish fans give him the crying gesture back whilst singing Lionel Messi’s name.

Some say he is still be consoled by Piers Morgan.

Che Adams doing Che Adams tings 🫡

I hadn't seen the score so went for a look. From The Guardian report:

The lack of proper threat provided by Adams is a regular source of Scotland weakness.

To be fair, like Saints, Scotland are not blessed with a wealth of quality centre forwards.

Unlike Scotland, we have the option to buy in talent from wherever it can be found - we just seem to have no idea how to do it.

Nice assist from Azaz to make it 2-2.

First thing he's done all game

Unbelievable ending for Ireland, Manning, Azaz and even sub Baz must be buzzing after that

Interesting comment from the BBC website:

Didi Hamann
Former Germany midfielder on RTE Sport

When Finn Azaz was moved to the middle, it changed the game.

Almost as if we should give him a go in the position he actually plays. Might be an idea.

Stop using common sense, this is a Sport Republic club.

I'm struggling to watch other teams play, because I'm getting jealous rage about every other team ever has a -at minimum- half decent goalkeeper. Its actually starting to get me down.

Can anyone recommend a team that has a worst keeper than us for me to indulge in?

To be fair the Sheffield Wednesday keeper was fucking awful.

Seems that the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree with Jude Bellendingham.

I get that top players don’t like being subbed etc, but this lad thinks he is bigger and better than everyone else.

the team, without him, are bang on form, and the players in his position are delivering, what does he think it all revolves around him?

Kane is clearly undroppable, and possibly Rice.

other than that, the rest have players ready to come in and be there or thereabouts.

Storm in a teacup, click bait for The Guardian. You clicked, I didn't.

Vestergaard came on to shore things up at the back and in twenty-five minutes conceded three goals 🤣

Amazing end! Best thing was the commentators shouting SHOOT when McClean picked up the ball 😂

TAA was generally criticised for his poor defending , mainly being out of position I think but it appears he was one of their main drivers of their attacking moves . It is amusing that Isak is a passenger at the moment after forcing his move and gobby Slot has been put back in his place 😄

Chuckling at Liverpool

It's funny to watch.

£389m spent on Eketike, Isak & Wirtz to 'bolster' their attack. But after 12 games they're 11th with a negative GD. For £120m or whatever it was, I've never seen a player as bad as Wirtz - everything about his game is awful, touch, pace, strength. He's just a non-entity and will never acclimatise to this league.

Looking at their summer, I didn't realise they lost so much in attack. Obviously they lost Jota which was awful, but they also moved on Diaz (who I think was excellent) and Nunez - whilst pretty annoying not not amazing quality, did ruffle up teams. You can also include Harvey Elliott as a loss, as he did contribute for them last year.

If they sack Slott the transformation into a type of club their fans hate will be complete. Obscene summer spending and rotating through managers after a spell of poor results.

And Trent (TM) who was a big part of their attacking impetus. But yeah, this is the first season they're struggling where they can't point the finger at the other big clubs and say "look at how much you spent", when they've spunked so much themselves. VVD, Alison, Salah and Robertson are old too, lots more changes to come for them. It goes to show how one bad transfer window can make all the difference. They're not going to start dropping down the league but it has opened the door for Arsenal, City and even Chelsea to start competing for the title again.

I saw Dyche smile in his post match interview ! Don’t think I’ve seen that before 😄 I’m over in USA where I watched a dour Bournemouth v West Ham , West Ham negative with packed defence that Bournemouth struggled to break down .

Watched the Sheffield derby this afternoon.

Typical hustle and bustle with little class from either side.

That said Sheff Utd dominated Weds a bit more than we did.

Danny Ings didnt show up much which probably shows he is a bit of a bit of a busted flush but only time will tell.
