Arry wasted most of that window on Reid when right from the start he had made it clear he didn't want to join Saints, and why would he when Spurs was an option rather than relegation?

We were also trying to get Michael Dawson that window too, to be fair both of them would have made a huge difference but they chose Spurs instead as you probably would do.

makes my cry a little inside. Look at the state of our striker additions when we have time to scout/set it up.

 

Agreed, for a club of our size, budgets etc we shouldn’t be struggling to sign players.

But when you sack a manager every six months it’s not particularly attractive.

they would have (Redknap could spot the odd decent player when his mind wasn't on other things)....a lot more than bloody Davenport anyway. With Jamie Redknapp and Bernard also arriving, you can see how hard it is to attract player when you are a sinking ship. My man Henri Camara the exception to the rule of course.

Sports joining Saints was announced on 7th Feb while Armstrong departed on loan to WBA on the 4th Feb, so whether he had any input on that loan (and an indication of how highly he is rated by him) is hard to say.

Yep, I was right behind the goal in the freezing cold that night and that miss still gives me nightmares. Relegated by two points in the end. Far worse than that sending off.

A big problem is that when he isn't scoring (like now) he doesn't bring anything else to the table. 

Can't hold it up, doesn't win headers, doesn't win fouls, can't beat players, not particularly good at passing. He normally works hard but even that's dropped off now.

10M is a pretty good price for 28 year old who is decent at this level and hopeless at anything higher.  I kind of feel the same way I did about Che Adams - I'm not that fussed if he goes but on the flip side I've got no confidence we'll replace him with the same quality let alone anyone better.  Would also feel like an admission that our season is effectively over (unless we got dragged into a relegation scrap).
