No Fellows and Stewart weakens us significantly in terms of moving the ball up the pitch. Just hope we don't adopt the same tactics we did in the home fixture (hoof and hope for the best).

At least Manning and Wood are sitting out again.

At least it's 4 at the back. Would have preferred the focal point and physicality of Stewart up front but a decent option to come on in the second half I guess. I personally would have gone the other way around with Armstrong's pace against tired legs in the second half

Bree straight in at RB i am a fan of, been playing well at charlton and is a proper championship defender so will get stuck in v these lot.

Not sure what the hell is happening up top but i pray for stewart and fellows to come on.

Can’t fault her for showing an interest  and turning up for this match. Not the most pleasant of environments to watch a game, when you don’t have to.

By 2.30 we’ll know if it’s worked or not. Pleased at the back 4 but I wouldn’t have dropped Fellows as him and Bree could see working well and their full backs were suspect at SMS. Matsuki is a very risky selection but if he cracks one in the top bins…

Skate I work with as just texted saying thanks for leaving Fellows out. Apparently he was the one player of ours that they were worries about. Says it would be like them leaving Murphy out if he was fit.

Fuck me, this needs to go well for Tonda. Skates away is not the time to experiment. If Matsuki was up to starting games, he’d have done so in recent weeks? Skates have got a makeshift defence, surely Fellows has to be on the right. Huge pressure

They obviously haven’t heard of Scienza. Wouldn’t really expect much less from those thick cunts. 
 

But you need both of them on the pitch for at least one of them to be effective.

It’s a massive gamble by Tonda dropping Fellows and starting Matsuki. If it pays off and we win - buys him to the end of the season. If we lose and/or Matsuki is sent off - sack.

I can understand Bree but the other two changes are absolutely baffling. Not seen anything from Matsuki to suggest that he won't just get bullied out of this game.

The thing we were absolutely desperate for at SMS was an out ball, which Stewart would have been perfect for.

Only positive is that Murphy is out who was the best player on the pitch.

Struggle to understand why Fellows us not starting. His first touch, dribbling and ability to keep the ball takes a lot of pressure off the defence. Bizarre.

Needs work for Tonda because a defeat and he’s a goner, will be hounded at the next home game. Given they are so depleted, draw probably isn’t sufficient either.

Tbh if its 0-0 in the second half and he brings on Fellows and Stewart then we should win BUT if we are two down at half time after picking this line up the shit hits the fan big time !!!

We all know Stewart cant manage 90 mins so the choice was start him for 45-60 mins or bring him on for 30-45 mins.  Whether TE has made the right choice remains to be seen....

We can expect to be under pressure, and AA does not offer an out-ball.

Back 4 , what everyone wants. Little shocked Bree is straight in but OK. Not sure where Matski has come from, but why all the hate on here? Stewart was obviously hurt on Wednesday (knee in the back) so is probably still feeling that a bit, and with him not starting it makes some sense to leave Fellows on the bench, bring him on when Stewart comes on. Don't think there's too much wrong with this team, it's not exactly tombola as some are saying, 3 changes. At least Manning is not starting, or Wood.

Tonda has certainly put pressure back on himself. If it doesn’t work, he’s toast. Obviously I hope that it does.

Unless Fellows has a knock that’s mental benching him. 
Would prefer Stewart starting up top, but at least Arma should hopefully give their slow back line a workout and we have a plan b for later. 
Ultimately they all need to turn up, get stuck in and give 100% otherwise it’s going to be another s show.

I get the combination of Stewart and Fellows in tandem (if indeed TE is thinking along those lines). One would assume they would come on together in the second half against a tiring defence. Fingers crossed the game hasn't gone by then. Matsuki though.....that's a gamble right there. TE has some balls but it could be a defining moment.

Agreed. Bree is the kind of character for a game like this. Proper RB. I'd have had Fellows ahead of him though, and Stewart up top. It looks to me that he wanted AA in there for whatever reason though, and picked the team around that. 

Anyways, it was it what is.

Let's do this.

Good to see Bree back and for all his faults you had to play Jack today. Wellington can be a bit rash, so let’s hope he shows controlled aggression today. Matsuki obviously the surprise, but is it really possible for Ross to start 2 games running? Obviously the manager has all the data & info to hand, so I’m reserving judgement until I know the reasoning behind the other 2 selections. Bench longs strong so if we can get to half time level, could buck the trend and pinch it second half. I think 2-2 more likely though…

Probably be 2-0 down by then. That’s an inept line up from a manager clearly lacking  clarity on what this match means. Given the skates a huge physiological advantage.
