We are so shit wide defensively what’s that been, probably 5 decent crosses into the box if they had a striker they’d have scored at least a couple

Same thing against West Brom.

TBH we could have been 4-0 up in 12 minutes and missed a penalty after that. It’s hardly been vintage Tonda but we’ve had the chances to be ahead.

I think we have been pretty poor.

but, as other sides have done recently, if we are pressed high and the midifield space is shut down, we need individual brilliance to get out.

We are relying on THB to start too many attacks recently

Half time.

Probably should have been 2-0 after 10 mins, but we really look sluggish without Fellows running.

We need a second half performance, I don't think we've had one yet under Tonda.

I think we've looked very poor without Fellows energy down that right hand side. Fraser offers very little.

Need to improve in the 2nd half or this will end in defeat, they've had a fair few chances to get decent crosses into the box. 5 at the back really isn't all that defensively for us, I would prefer another body in the midfield.

Imagine how good we'll be in the second half when we bring on Aribo and Romeu.

Don't say that, we will be playing with 9 players if that happens. Players just standing around trying to control the ball is not what we need. Players good on the ball with dribbling skills is what's needed.

We are playing such exciting football. Sure, it would have been nice to get some goals... but I LOVE this Saints team. Norwich being pretty lucky getting away with ugly play....  We now will see whether, when needs must, Eckert can deliver a sensational second half....

Anyone expecting an easy win today is delusional.  Three games in a week, they have a new manager, one of our best attackers is out.  You can see the difference, fellows goes forwards today everything is backwards.  They have a good keeper.

Good test of resilience needed for the second half. They will get tired but our defence has a tendency to fall asleep.

After the first 10 mins it was just little more than dicking around at the back with it. At one point we nearly literally passed it back into our own net.

Scienza seems to be the only player aware of which way we're shooting. Norwich have pressed well but our first instinct is to go backwards

Had a bad feeling before this game. Had a discussion midweek about Armstrong being an unreliable penalty taker and he proves my point the very next game 🤦

Bad omen. A case of respecting the away point today. A win feels unlikely.

Why is it delusional? They have loads of injuries and are generally shite

This is a bit shit isn’t it.

This game is a good example of why five at the back and losing a midfielder is an utterly stupid game plan.

Is it? We've hit the bar, won a penalty and had another very good penalty shout.

Reality is Norwich also have a bit of a manager bump and they're working very hard. Darling is on thin ice.

We need to keep plugging away. Hope we don’t make too many early subs.

He rightly played advantage as we still had the ball in a good position

But if no advantage accrues, so in this case ball goes in the net, you call it back for the penalty. Come on fella. Just for clarity, in the case of a penalty the only advantage gained is the goal....so correct decision

I look forward to some of the fans watching the half time analysis and baffled why they won’t be saying Saints should be 3 down and never a pen

Fraser struggling to get forward.

He's a busted flush. Not providing any attacking threat down our right and just constantly passing the ball backwards

THB is basically playing as a RB anyway, so moving to a back 4 and putting JRob on in place of Fraser won't make a huge change to our shape but would give us so much more threat on that side.

They have been very aggressive and intense in not sure they’ll be able to keep that up for 90 minutes and might even pick up a red card if they do. With midweek game this week hopefully we don’t make any silly subs.

Been watching the back line whenever we're out of possession and having the 3 CBs does absolutely nothing for us except cause confusion. Wood is the main marker of their lone striker but then THB and Stephens just drift in space, not really picking up unless a MF is literally standing in their zone. They leave runners to Jander and Downes to track back which is why they end up knackered in the 2nd half. Too many runners and there's always someone unmarked in our box with one of THB / Stephens just standing there aimlessly.

We need an extra body in midfield, not at the back. Even in possession, if we want to pass it round the back we always have Wood right next to Baz which is daft. 2 CBs is enough and just split and use Baz as the link.

I honestly don’t know why some of these miserable cunts even bother watching.

Not the worst first half ever, but not a great one either. Think we've been fairly comfortable, but a bit too comfortable and playing within ourselves, not looking for the killer move, or ball. Fellows is a big miss as his close control and drive opens up the pitch and gets us up it and we haven't had that today.

On the penalty, it was a clear one. Player releases the ball anywhere else on the pitch and gets scythed down after its a foul for a late challenge. 4 of our last 5 missed is really poor. Wonder how many of our previous 30 we've missed. Tadic and Ings missed a few. Feels like we haven't had a good, confident taker since Lambert. We were spoiled by him and Le Tissier.

A good team talk needed with some changes to our play necessary. Issue is, you look at the bench and it doesn't give you much hope in terms of changing the game in our favour.

Missed 3 really good chances to score and since then we've struggled to impose ourselves.  Norwich growing into it and look more likely to win this one. No good us trying to rely on substitutes, everything we have on the bench makes us less creative and weaker.  Need a big second half from those on the pitch now.  Prediction 2 nil Norwich.

The advantage was played for the foul out of the area

Without Scienza and Fellows were are very average.

Missing the driving runs of Fellows.

Fraser looks too scared and has been checking backwards.

That’s the difference in a nutshell, we have lost a massive attacking threat. Ryan Fraser legs have gone, he can’t take people on any more.

We are just doing it in reverse this week, the second half will be our usual first half 🤞🤞🤞

We've defended our box really well.

I'm not against having an extra midfielder, but you make it sound like we're all over the place, when we're really not.

If the first half were really our usual second half then Saints would be a goal or two behind. I'm worried that this second half will be our usual second half.
