Good news, gives baz some competition that's for sure, should keep them both on top of their game and maybe help peretz eliminate some of the big errors from his game?

A shame we can't play both of them as they have such opposite and complementary skills.  Maybe bring baz in for the cups and playoffs, and let peretz play the smaller teams.

I know you shouldn't fall in love with a loan player, but it was impossible not to. Best shot stopper since Niemi, batshit crazy and the most suicidal runs out of his area since Tim Flowers - all reasons the fans love him. I was gutted when I thought we'd seen the last of him; I wasn't even believing the media noise about him returning - the most I hoped for was another season long loan. 

But a 4-year contract. Wow. Amazing stuff, and hopefully this is the first step of the club making it up to the fans. 

This signing has me buzzing for the new season. we go again. Bring it on!

honestly, who gives a fuck now what everyone else thinks. everyone will hate us, everyone will try and put us down but I can already feel the siege mentality growing...

On this forum, with fans i speak to, in dragons statements, in the clubs statements, with the signing of Peretz, in Peretz first interview...

We have the chance to allow the biggest negative this club has experienced into a driving force behind success.

The run we went on last season was real, the connection that team had with the fans was real, if we can harness that at the beginning of next season, under a siege mentality, with the squad we had last season, we will win the league

To be fair. Boto have already brought in another 11 lawyers already over the summer break. They're going to be hard to beat (in court). Out of all the teams in the Championship they have the most impressive (legal) team.

Excellent news.  I said in the player of the season thread that Peretz was the player I'd have been most concerned about if his name wasn't on the teamsheet and he's probably had the biggest impact of any of the players we've brought in last season.  Honestly expected a bigger club to come in for him so fair play for getting this done so early.

Welcome back Peretz, big statement of intent by the club. Starts the summer business off on a high and at his age should be Prem ready for when we get there. I loved watching Berkovic, now we have another fun Israeli to watch week in, week out. 

Keep it up SR and all may be forgiven. And that means no Baz as a back up. We need a good back up, not a loan from Norwich.

We may struggle to shift Baz and Ramsdale, so could see one of them around the first team squad. Hopefully we'll shift both though, and bring in a decent number 2.

Bazunu wont be back up. He's a 24 year old RoI international who will want to be playing regular first team football, which it's pretty clear he wont be getting here. He will leave this summer, hopefully permanently and we can get a decent fee for him.

I know I'd be p*ssing into the wind trying to argue that Bazunu is not infact the worst goalkeeper in the football league and I'm not going to bother. However, if you think we're getting better to come and sit on our bench, you're likely to be mistaken.

I struggle to see how we shell out for Peretz if we haven’t got a good idea already that Ramsdale won’t be here, either on loan or sold. We’ll see, but I don’t personally see the transfer happening otherwise.

I would probably hold off until we know the outcome of the FA investigation.  A ban for Tonda along with the 4 point deduction would make finishing top a tough ask.

This is a big big statement. Not so much to other clubs supporters , but to our fan base. I genuinely thought if we didn’t go up we’d see Baz, or some journeyman in nets next season. Even if spygate didn’t happen, I couldn’t see this bloke hanging around the championship, he’s better than that. To some extent THB, Jander, even Leo, are replaceable, but a keeper of his quality isn’t unless we were going to keep Ramsdale onboard. The fact that most would prefer him over Ramsdale, tells you how good he is. 
 

Now let’s get a solid number 2 in, because Baz has proved over and over that he’s not at the required level. We need an average championship keeper as back up to a great one (as in great for that league) , it won’t cost a lot and should be easy to get onboard. Ship Baz out, although I doubt anyone will touch him above league 2 level, or he’ll be an adequate number 3
