Champions League games will be in the midweek afterwards, so it won't be the worst thing in the world to draw one of those teams, as they'd be very likely to rest players - rather than getting one of them in the semis/final where they name their strongest team. Although Man City and Chelsea have quite tough draws so they may get knocked out, in which case we'd be fucked.

A proper miserable trip there when they knocked us out of the cup in the 90s, Widdrington red card, and someone in the home end with a skate shirt goading us at the end.

I was there that night 

we were in The Red Lion which from memory was Robbie Williams dads pub but he wasn’t heard of then. 
we took over the pub early on and unfortunately I didn’t keep my wits about me. Most of the Saints “ Lads”😉had left to get to the ground but I got caught in the corner realising it was all Port Vale tried to get out. 
The Vale fans had easy pickings with just me and two mates tried to stop us getting out. The proverbial hit the fan and I got hit in the back of the head with either an ash tray or a pool ball 🎱. The game when we got to it was shit, the rain was pouring and so was the blood down my neck from the head wound!!!

I’d love revenge on those tossers who threw the heavy object that night!

I’ve never forgotten it despite having a hole the size of a 2p piece in my head!

still despise Branfoot for making our team so shit!!
