Should have offered some deals on tickets for this. No way should it be a category A fixture and with people having to pick and choose I'm not surprised that this one is being swerved.

I don't see the big deal anyway personally. The midweek games with smaller crowds have largely had better atmospheres this season.

I agree often those night games with 5k less people actually make a better atmosphere,  Blackburn have only sold block 22 it will be less than 200 of them , trying to think when we last had such a small away following visit?

Got a banana skinny feeling about tonight. Hopefully I'm wrong, but all good things must come to an end. Personally I think play offs are out of reach (bar a miraculous run continuing from us...if we win them all, it's about 50/50 chance of autos imo) so would take a point.

The Roy Race / Blackie Gray strike partnership was still going well into the 1990s I believe.

Vic Guthrie, goalkeeper Charlie Carter and defensive hard man Duncan McKay also had pretty solid careers, plus of course Paco Diaz providing some continental flair on the wings. 

I had loads of Roy of the Rovers annuals but they all came from a car boot sale and were from the 70s, so even though I was reading them in 1986 I thought all players had long hair and flares and looked like the Bee Gees

T Morton was indeed Melchester's original Goalkeeper.
The character may have been modeled on William (Fatty)Foulke who played for Sheffield Utd, Chelsea and Bradford City between 1894 and 1908.
Apparently he was around 24 stone at the end of his career.
He died from cirrhosis of the liver at 42 years of age.

It's very unlikely we catch Ipswich, and we shouldn't be relying on relegation fodder for the slip up needed to catch them... With that in mind, I hope Ipswich smash them and help send them down 😅

This may not be an easy game. O'Neil is a very experienced manager and will set Blackburn up to nullify our attacking options and hope his side can nick a goal on the break or from a set play. Nothing we haven't faced before but he'll have them well drilled and organised. An early goal for us changes everything but they don't concede many. With our current form we should find a way to win the game. We'll need to be clinical when our chances come. Fingers crossed.

It would be nice for the ref to realise that the Blackburn game plan will likely be to kick the shit out of us and hope to grab something on the counter, ahead of it happening.  Then, when it does, a yellow or two early doors to calm things down so we have a chance of a football match.

Regardless, reckon this will be 3-0 to Saints, and up to fourth place.  Also think that the blue few will do a turn for us this evening and bring the auto gap down to a tantalising three or four points - resulting in a rapid three or four pints before closing in the SO14 postcode.

I understand your thinking but Edozie isn't amazing at breaking down teams that park the bus. We'd almost be better to play Azaz left, Matsuki centre (10) and Fellows on the right if we want to protect Scienza.

Just watched highlights of Stoke v Blackburn. As usual Baz's positioning gave the Blackburn player almost the whole goal to shoot at and he duly obliged. He did scream at one of his defenders at one point though so maybe the penny has dropped that he needs to be more vocal.
