It’s all the EFL care about so yes it will.

The final will be played, the winner will get promoted and we’re going to be left dealing with lawsuits from our entire squad who will rightly claim that the club have robbed them of potential PL football (and its associated pay rise).

In what way? The only mugs here are us. We cheated, we got caught, we got kicked out of the playoffs. Apart from a handful of delusional Wrexham and Hull fans on Twitter thinking they might have benefitted from this one way or another, there’s really nobody else emotionally involved.

Get over yourself. Anyone who knows anything about football knows this punishment is excessive and will store up multiple heaps of shit for the EFL for years to come. They deserve it. Doesn’t absolve the club at all, but the EFL have no idea what they’re doing.

Agree 100%. I don’t just want my Wembley money refunded, I want last Tuesdays and all those who went to Middlesbrough should get their tickets and travel costs.

They need to start making their peace with supporters NOW !

And 50% reduction for all existing ST holders next season.

I wonder if there is anything in our Sponsors deal which means that bringing their names into disrepute means contracts are cancelled and repayments have to be made?
Meantime absolute silence on the Saints website.

I reckon we could get the likes of Dominos to sponsor us...

Wasn’t expecting the expulsion to be overturned , so still feeling a tad disappointed with all of this. What’s the point?  The last 3 months and the cup run it felt like we had a Saints team we could all get behind , they repay us by cheating and blatantly showing they don’t give a fuck about the repercussions on the fans. I liked Tonda, but he should be gone today. He should resign and salvage what tiniest little bit of dignity he can.

Utterly Ashamed.

The players must be devastated. They gave everything as did the fans.

Most will want out now but the club will play hardball I suspect, unless they can get a decent price.

Can't wait to be asked to buy a season ticket.

I think I'll put the club on Ignore for a while. They've had enough out of me for a while.

Well done SR. We've managed to go from one of the worst seasons in our history to one of the better ones and they've still managed to make it worse than the one that preceeded it.

Takes some fucking doing that. Can't wait to see what next season brings.

Every season I think "I'd love to see us win big on the opening day of the season and be top of the League even if it's for one day." Even if we do that in August we can't do it. Brainless twats.

I imagine there is.  No doubt the good folks at P&O will be looking very closely at this and pondering their options.

Yes, they do genuinely just make up the punishments as they go along.

Looking forward to Boro making history on Saturday. First team ever to lose Play Off semi-final and Final in same season 🙂

At least the players can piss off - we're stuck with Sports Republic. What have we fucking done in previous lives to warrant this!?

The whole situation is overkill. The sanctimonious moral self-flagellation is too much. Let's be clear, we haven't exactly stolen from charities or shafted creditors to the tune of billions. They've spied on training sessions since Tonda, and should hang their heads on the way out. No need for the guillotine.

Tonda, Spors and his analysts fucked up big time.

SR will continue to throw shit at a wall.

And here we are, the fans.

This is the thing isn't it. The players, the staff, they can all head off tomorrow. They might get some bans from football (staff wise), but they've all got enough in their banks to probably never worry about money again.

Whereas us guys, who just went to every game enjoying it, up and down the country, are left to hold this can for the the entirety of time. This is why it's not proportionate. They have punished the fans for something stupid individuals at the club have done.

The losers are the fans in all of this, in so many ways. We don't need empty statements and weak apologies, they need to come out front and centre and complete a massive cull and tell all the honest fans what on earth the plan is next. That needs to start tomorrow.

Will that happen? Absolutley fucking not, not with these wishy washy wankers in charge.

after the fck ups of managers we’ve had, this seemed like we had a real gem on our hands,

Tragic isn’t it ? And remarkable how quickly it has turned to shit.

Thanks for all your good wishes. I've been on the hormone jab now four four months and my PSA is down to 0.42 which is almost negligible. It's amazing that a pellet the size of a grain of rice every three months can change your life. I advise anyone of advancing years to get their PSA checked. That way we might all still be around for the next time we're in the Premier League.

If Eckert and his fellow rule breakers are not sacked tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest, it will show even more weak leadership by the owner.

Swift action is required to mitigate the damage which will take a long time to repair.

After 4 exciting months, its all been ruined in a matter of days.

Sad, gutted and angry

Exactly. Even if we had've lost the playoff final, I was excited for a full season under Tonda in the Championship. Hero to zero in a matter of days. What a fuckin shame

Did I hear correctly? If Bournemouth qualify for the Champions League their ground isn't up to scratch so will play at St Mary's? This is bs right?

We've basically been disqualified from a game we were proven to have cheated in. How is that excessive?

Nobody is mad at the EFL except a few Saints fans in the echo chambers of social media. If they hadn't kicked us out they'd be getting huge amounts of stick from Boro fans.

It's for my radiotherapy therapy for Prostate Cancer. It's very kind of everybody and I'm deeply touched. It's 'locally advanced' which means it hasn't spread to the bones or lymph nodes so I should be OK. It seems that I caught it in time. Let this be a wake up call to everyone.  As the saying goes, it may just be that the purpose of my life is to act as a warning to others.

The last few days have been great fun. We have a season in the Championship to look forward to. More games and no VAR. It's strange but after our win last Tuesday I somehow couldn't get excited.  Now I know why.

I would like that hour that I spent queueing for tickets back though.

100% . Utterly naive and shambolic handling of the entire situation. Did we have anyone of any legal standing representing us at the original hearing? If we did I’ve not heard of who

Don't be soft. The punishment was way over the top as most reasonable people in the football world have admitted. Ludicrous compared with what other teams have got for worse offences but we all know how corrupt football is. Makes me laugh when these pundits start talking about protecting the integrity of football. Sitch up. End of.

Hopefully Solak will run us like a normal football club at last and not some stupid fucking Moneyball experiment.
