I'm glad we won't let Boro just destroy the club in response to them not being able to win a game of football.

It's all completely ridiculous fuelled by this cancel culture which seems to be the ultimate life goal of some people rather than just say being happy in yourself, or meeting up with friends, or just trying to enjoy life! The world doesn't need to exist to just punish and put people down, but I guess that's where we are as society, which is pretty sad. 

Hopefully the world can move on. Apparently there's a world cup starting soon?!

Being a self interested football fan (meaning I don't care how Saints find success) I am glad Saints intend to stick with Tonda, given his record since taking the job (outside of the spying bollocks).

I do think it is VERY likely the FA will give him some sort of ban that makes his position untenable, though - which means another round of every chronically online social media cunt in the country having another reason to point and laugh at Saints given we have planted our flag in the ground and set ourselves up for another major failure.

The FA need to bring clarity and closure to this mountain out of molehill episode quickly now, if in fact that’s not already been done and hence the ability for Tonda and Dragan to make public statements. I hope that’s the case anyway.

I want to believe Dragan will ensure he keeps his word to the fans and allow Spors/Eckhert to bring in new players that will ensure we’re a top two contender.

I also want to believe the fickle natured Saints fans among us don’t start baying for Tonda’s blood the minute we lose a game. It’s going to happen - gird your loins chaps, because it’s going to be a hell of a ride again this coming season. But you know what - I reckon it’s going to be an exciting one.

His argument is a bit nonsense though. So it is commonplace to spy on other clubs in Italy and Germany where he worked previously, but despite not knowing it was banned here, he only did it three times in inconsequential ways? Mmm yeah ok...

We probably did 'spy' (legitimately watch training sessions) on other more than 3 times, but NOT within the 72 hour period that is the rule in question. I expect that many other clubs in the Championship, League 1 and League 2 also 'spy' on others regularly. Note that there is absolutely no rule regarding watching training sessions, even within 72 hours, in the Premier League. If that is the same a in Italy and Germany (and other countries) then it is the EFL that is effectively out of step with common practice everywhere else. So maybe his is a genuine mistake. But others should have known and told him. We shall never know, shall we?
