not reallu up for the cup this year. Promotion is easily the first priority. today we were without Barnard, Lambert came off at half time (not sure why?) Holmes left the field injured BB has picked up a knock and richardson is now injured! But i guess someone who - if we get beat it will be forgettable and not effect confidence etc. Mid Championship club please.

Aldershot at home would have been nice, top 2 Hampshire teams, but not to be, we could have sung you dirty northern bastards at them LOL

I would be happy to get someone like Reading, Leicester, Brizzle City or Hull at home. Someone to compare ourselves with from a higher division. Please not the Skates, we do not need the distraction of a meaningless local derby against them. We will probably get Scunny.

we have a really important period between the end of December and the end of January, our League 1 standing will be formed from the results in that time. I really don't think we need a potential showboat tie weighing on players performances at Charlton or at home to Exeter who can be a bit of a tough nut to crack. We need an easy game, at home to a poor side, fans have plenty of other things to spend their money on really.

Agree. Either a team from a lower division or a nondescript Championship side at home.

Dover away would be nice - I went today and Dover were well worth their win; in fact they have been good value for both their victories over league oppo.

Over 4000 at Crabble today and a cracking atmosphere, would love to see Saints play there.

Of all the grounds i dream of seeing Saints play at, i can honestly say Dover has never been, or will be, one of them.

You really should get out more ... it's a lovely non-lge ground (it's already league-rated if they ever get that far)- a much better pitch than plenty of those in our league - Dover v Saints would be a great third round tie (or we could all go to Chelsea/L'pool/Man U 'again', yawn).
