It is amazing the difference a top quality keeper can make and we’ve seen it so many times before!  Boruc arriving on a free turned us from relegation fodder into a mid table team.  Niemi took us up a step from Paul Jones and this season we’ll talk about night and day.

This isn't to discredit Pertez in any way, as I love the bloke, but we're not even talking about the difference between an average GK and a top quality goalkeeper here. It's simply the difference between having no goalkeeper and an actual goal keeper.

Don’t believe that for a minute, if they’d said flapped at a wall there might be something in it. Punched, no way…

Crisp packet punch.

It's an anti-injury technique.

Congratulations on your promotion Cardiff...

...and Commiserations on your relegation next season!

Seriously that we could still get money for Baz blows my mind.

What do you mean?

24 years old so his best years are still to come. He already has 22 caps for Ireland where he’s kept MANY clean sheets. Played in the premier league, highly experienced in the championship where he’s has won a promotion plus experience of a European league

he’d be a truly fantastic signing for someone

Cardiff will be lucky to sign him, a gem of a goalie, they should push hard now before competition hots up.

Didn't he save a penalty from CHRISTIANO RONALDO once?

Indeed he did. Interesting fact, CHRISTIANO RONALDO has scored more international penalties than any other player ever. It's fortunate for everyone that Ireland FAILED to qualify for the world cup and Baz's talents can continue under the radar for now, shame for Baz though that he wont be able to demonstrate his awesome play out from the back in front of the watching world

Two years ago Ryan Fraser was tearing Championship defences to shreds,  Adam Armstrong was banging them in and Jan Bednarek was a rock at CB

And Baz was letting in unstoppable shots that nobody could save.

In terms of goals prevented, Baz is bottom again for the fourth season running, although there is some improvement. Even though he is still the worst keeper in the league, this is actually his best season statistically, as he has conceded fewer goals than expected compared to previous years.

His long pass completion% and crosses claimed are also bottom of the league.

I’m not sure why some people here dismiss the stats. This is an unprecedented level of sustained underperformance in professional football.

Don't listen to this rubbish.

He'll be a fantastic goalkeeper for you Cardiff, and a bargain at £10 million.

Year on year improvement is great to see. Slow and steady wins the race. Given time he could Quite easily become the second or even third worst keeper in the league.
