Wolves and West Ham look atrocious and Forest are owned by an absolute whackjob. I expect West Ham will get out of it eventually but wolves are nailed on to go down this season just like we did in 2022/23 when a combination of us being poor coupled with the newly promoted sides doing well, sealed our fate. Same will happen to wolves this season. I’d imagine Leeds will just about have enough to stay up and Sunderland would now have to have an absolute shocker to go down. My 3 to go currently, would be Wolves, Burnley, and Forest, with West Ham and Brentford also right down there but staying up

Saint Pete Posted 20 October, 2025 Posted 20 October, 2025 West Ham were truly atrocious in that match tonight, the stats tell the story of how dominant Brentford were in West Ham's home game. I think Hammers fans are getting what they deserve for their attitude towards David Moyes when he was in charge and doing a good job. 7
saintant Posted 20 October, 2025 Posted 20 October, 2025 (edited) Brentford showed tonight what good recruitment can do. They've sold so many quality players yet still keep unearthing gems. Clearly they go for big, strong, powerful players. No surprise that Walker Peters and Fernandes were withdrawn at half time by West Ham - two of our better ex players simply could not cope with the physicality of Brentford. One day our recruitment team will wake up and realise you need some muscle, pace and power in a squad these days if you want to compete. Edited 20 October, 2025 by saintant 6

Andy Hill Posted 20 October, 2025 Posted 20 October, 2025 Great comments reference recruitment by Brentford when compared to what we have done. They look streets ahead of our lot.

Southner Posted 22 October, 2025 Posted 22 October, 2025 Have there been any other games since Sunday? All I've heard is Liverpool are in a crisis? Mark Lawrenson solved the issue though. Did anyone hear him on Talk Sport on Monday morning? Apparently all the Liverpool defence have to do is get together, get really tight, and say "Right, we're not gonna concede today, whatever happens..." Why haven't we got a coach to instil that kind of knowledge into our back 3/5?

Saint NL Posted 24 October, 2025 Posted 24 October, 2025 Just saw the West Ham starting lineup for the Leeds game. All three ex-Saints dropped, JWP not even on the bench. Guess our scar tissue is infecting other teams now
Willo of Whiteley Posted 24 October, 2025 Posted 24 October, 2025 James Ward-Prwose hasn’t featured in any squad since Nuno went in. Forest cancelled his loan in January last year, so clearly Nuno already has a good idea as to how he fits into his plans, he doesn’t. But if I was paid £100K a week to have a kick about and go home then I wouldn’t be bothered. He’ll get a loan in January.
Lighthouse Posted 24 October, 2025 Posted 24 October, 2025 Just goes to show how sh*te our squad was last season. Our two best players aren’t even starting for a really sh*te West Ham.
Andy Hill Posted 25 October, 2025 Posted 25 October, 2025 Just seen Coventry are already 2 up - scoring goals for fun when compared to our limp attacking options.

ant Posted 25 October, 2025 Posted 25 October, 2025 Sunderland on near enough 1.5x our points from last season after just 9 matches. Not an 'I wish we were Sunderland' post. More that they were a basket case club before their current owners sorted shit out. Yes, there's going to be worse suitors out there than what we've got. But fuck me, I feel ready to twist. 3

But fuck me, I feel ready to twist. They recruited well and lifted the level of that team up hugely, they weren't focused on 'PL' experience for PL experience sake - they went out and got someone like Xacka for example, who has lifted that entire team as a leader and in quality. The success boils down to recruitment 99% of the time. The only question mark I'd have over Sunderland is that they've signed 60-70% of African Players who will be heading to Afcon in a couple of months. I think they'll drop off hugely during the Christmas/January period because of that, so it was always critical they got off to a good start.
benjii Posted 26 October, 2025 Posted 26 October, 2025 I'm watching El Classico. The skill level is fantastic, although some of the defending is ropey. Rashford and Bellingham are both having superb matches. 1

East Kent Saint Posted 26 October, 2025 Posted 26 October, 2025 (edited) Interesting on Motd that they mentioned the 33 year old player who ran up and down the pitch all game non stop . I can't remember his name! But I thought of our team of youngsters who run out of steam after 60 mins 😄 Edited 26 October, 2025 by East Kent Saint

Saint_clark Posted 26 October, 2025 Posted 26 October, 2025 Kevin Danso centreback for Spurs going third in the league tonight. Him and Van Der Ven were immense. Another player slated by Saints fans way too early due to poor performances with no consideration given to him being a young player playing out of position in a new country for the first time. 1

Maybe a decent manager has given him the best opportunity to shine, because he didn’t look great under Big Ange last season. Spurs a perfect example of how important a manager is, unbelievably we seem to have supporters who don’t think they make much of a difference.

Not saying that Saints would have survived but it would have been nice to see some fight at least. Edited 27 October, 2025 by JohnnyShearer2.0 3
East Kent Saint Posted 27 October, 2025 Posted 27 October, 2025 Rohl gets impressive home win , plays 2 up front , flexible 5 at the back with wingbacks , quick transition going forward etc . The sort of thing we hoped our manager was going to produce 2

Agreed, we signed him 5 years too early, like we do with a lot of players. Sign then before their ready, throw them into the first team and hope them swim so we can sell them for a profit a year or two later. Some do, most don’t as we see.
Sheaf Saint Posted 27 October, 2025 Posted 27 October, 2025 Watching Port Vale v Stockport. I love Vale's sponsorless retro home kit. Stockport just gone 2-0 up. Didn't panic when they took the lead and looking ruthless and good value for topping the table (assuming they hold on to this).
