There's no one. No one else on the entire planet.

We're just incredibly fortunate that the only realistic appropriate first team manager on earth for us just so happens to be the manager in charge today.

Think sports republic obviously want ekhart else they surely would have just appointed a experienced manager already during the international break .

think it’s a bit of a huge overreaction over his four game win streak though  when scienza is fit we do have a pretty amazing attack full of pace from everywhere.   How much of it is due to ekhart I’m not sure .

Think you have to give him credit for utilising the player in a way that Still didn’t manage to for a number of weeks.

Exactly. And some say we don’t we get any luck. We’ve had a massive slice there. I said back in the summer that he was the only man who could possibly step in, if Still left. We’ve been very fortunate there

Depends if it was just a case of he players not playing for still or still being totally shit .. I’m sure a interim manager would probably do better then slot at LiverpooL atm but doesn’t mean it would be the smartest idea

I’m still waiting to hear a realistic/experienced option suggested by anyone.

There are no good options available that we can go and get.

May as well appoint Tonda until the end of the season.

I don’t think you’ve been looking hard enough. There’s been loads. There’s a bloody poll on this very thread that has a list of some ffs.

And even if they didn’t get name checked specifically on here, it’s absolutely ludicrous to suggest there is not a single experienced football manager in the world who would take the job if offered. Absolutely bonkers to use that as a rationale to give Eckert the job. Nuts.

Yet the guy has the nerve to call other fans clowns for suggesting that Eckert possibly shouldn’t be given the job. Clearly isn’t very bright and doesn’t have the brainpower to think beyond whats being played out in front of his eyes, so can’t look beyond the current incumbent.

If we don't appoint him you can be sure another club maybe in the Championship or league 1 will come in for him.

What about the Skates ? That possibility doesn't even bear thinking about !!

Imo he at the very least deserves the certainty of a decent extension with an option to appoint,

However in the absence of any official announcement nobody outside the club knows what is going on.

1. Nobody knows what the club and Eckhert have discussed - maybe they’ve said he’s in place as interim until the end of the season, unless a more suitable option emerges.

2. Given he’s out-performed supposedly more experienced Managers with 4 impressive wins, there is more risk in NOT appointing him right now…there are too many unknowns in all the other options meaning he is the safest bet right now. That position is hard to argue against.

Despite the poor start we have had under still promotion should be the target this season whether that be automatic or play offs otherwise it’s another fuck up on sportts republic 

with the above in mind is ekhart really the man to deliver this ? It’s a huge gamble imo and fans fickle opinions will be changing on him after each and every result

If an experienced manager is appointed he will get more slack? Somehow I doubt that. The teams improvement has been dramatic, surely he has credit in the bank?
