WinglessWonder Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Now that 3rd kit is awesome and I especially love the retro badge! Impressed that it was kept so secret than it's not been available on DHGate ahead of the official release 🤣
Disco Stu Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I think it looks good. I don't mind the alternative crest either. I'll buy one.

trousers Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Nice shirt but.... asking for a friend... anyone know how to remove ghastly sponsor logos....? 3

That was my first thought as well!! As much as enjoy a cruise, it will look so much cleaner and match the retro vibe without it, I may give it a go..
John Boy Saint Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago 10 minutes ago, trousers said: Nice shirt but.... asking for a friend... anyone know how to remove ghastly sponsor logos....? An Iron, grease proof paper, and patience. Unless you have a corporate clothing company close to you doing bespoke workwear - they might have a big press like they put the names on with in the shop - be off in no time. Few washes and the “dent will drop out”.
LuckyNumber7 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago That's a beauty. Love the city crest. If we ever did change our badge, I'd want it to be something similar to that.
Sunglasses Ron Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Interesting, a shirt that doesn't state the club's name. I wonder if this is a purposeful move in light of Spygate.
Saint_clark Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago 23 minutes ago, trousers said: Nice shirt but.... asking for a friend... anyone know how to remove ghastly sponsor logos....? Never tried it but I once read that if you rub nail polish remover on the inside of the shirt where the sponsor is stuck to the shirt, it dissolves the adhesive and you can just peel it away.
Saint_clark Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I'm guessing they're frantically redesigning the 2nd kit after the reaction to it? 😂 1 1
jamesfp1 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Love this. Should have been our home kit for the season. 1
kitch Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Pretty classy. Sponsor ruins it though, would have been better colour-coded. 1

bpsaint Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Love that crest. Wonder if there’s a sponsor less one available on dh gate.
Cuddles Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago 1 hour ago, trousers said: Nice shirt but.... asking for a friend... anyone know how to remove ghastly sponsor logos....? With my DHGate shirt with the Chinese sponsor, I just washed it a few times and picked it off 😂

This is exactly the method I have successfully used for several of my shirts. You soak it rather than just rub, and then the sponsor will peel off. If you use in on the front of the shirt directly onto the logo, it can make the ink spread off the plasticky stuff and onto the fabric of the shirt...

I never tried it because I assumed the chemical would leave a stain?

Nail polish remover doesn't leave any stain, you just need to be careful nothing comes off the sponsor logo by pulling it away from the shirt as soon as it starts to lift. There's sometimes a very faint outline of the shape left behind, but that comes out after a wash or two.

The club’s old logo, the Bargate monument – it looks like a retro shirt. little note it's not the clubs old logo it's the crest of the city of southampton 1
Hopper Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Adore the crest. I know many are sentimental but our current crest feels like the fan submission it was in today's era. I'd love to see us adopt the city crest again given we're a one club city.
TheAlehouseBrawlers Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago 30 minutes ago, franniesTache said: little note it's not the clubs old logo it's the crest of the city of southampton I think that’s just an SFC version of the city crest. Although we’re never had it on a shirt, it has been used by the club elsewhere in decades past. The club element is the red and white stripes in the bottom part as it’s solid red for the civic crest. As someone who isn’t a fan of the current badge it’s a welcome development for me.

As someone who isn’t a fan of the current badge it’s a welcome development for me. The 3 roses was the Club's traditional badge for the first 90 years of its history. Players wore it on their shirts at the end of the 19th century. I remember when the tree badge won the competition to replace it in the 1974/75 season. Fans weren't happy with the new badge as they thought it looked a bit childish, but, although the new badge competition was mentioned in a programme, we were never given the chance to vote on it. When I started supporting Saints, players didn't wear badges, except on their blazers, but the 3 roses were on all club related items like lapel badges, SFC mugs etc. Yes, it was originally taken from the city crest but so were many other clubs' badges. You only have to look just down the road at Portsmouth to see that. Incidentally, the badge represents the fact that men have always gone to war from this city. The red and white roses of Lancaster and York together showed that the English armies were united when they sailed from Southampton to France. Edited 5 hours ago by Nordic Saint 1
