Glad to see him now getting the playing time he deserves. One of many baffling decisions. At least Ben & Tonda have fixed some of them. 1

We carried too big a team after that summer transfer window, and only now are we seeing the likes of Edozie, Matsuki step back out into the fold. He's not the quickest, nor the strongest - i think he gets knocked off it a bit...but he's tenacious, and that's what I love about him. He's always pressing, full of energy, he's your perfect press trigger in that sense. He's got good quality with the ball at his feet though, as shown by his second goal. I think playing him off the right is an interesting use of him, because he's not getting lost in the middle with his lack of physicality and he can get more space. I think naturally he's more central/10 type, but he's doing well. He’s likeable as a player. It’s been ages since we’ve been able to say that about many of ours. He works hard and seems committed. He has some technical ability and puts himself about despite not being the most obviously physical. Easy to say when we’re on a run of good results but since January it’s felt like there is more of a bond between the team and the fans. I’m willing Stewart to stay fit and fire us to the play offs. Larin to prove his doubters wrong and get to the World Cup. Leo to keep dancing, dribbling and hitting worldies. Peretz has a touch of the mad goalie about him and seems to have real drive. It’s a ramble but most of us couldn’t give a flying fig about who left after we came back down. Now? I actually quite like a lot of the squad and Matsuki absolutely epitomises this. He’s had to wait for a chance but he’s taken it and added serious competition for places. 6
Deanovski Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago The deliberately negative comments on here aged well. 🥱
Lighthouse Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago He's certainly developing very well and has gone from a fringe player to one who wouldn't look out of place in the starting XI. A good alternative to Fellows if we want a more direct goal threat. 2

Love the energy and tenacious play!

Hamwic Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Enjoyed seeing his goals in the highlights and he shows promise for the future. Can someone please tell Jo Tessem, the lad's name is not Matski?

Everyone was expecting our players to wilt and crumble, but they didn't and actually put in a proper shift and stood up to be counted. We've been good since. The additions of Peretz and Larin, and Bree coming back and playing well have made a huge difference. We're starting to look like a team again. 1

He's surprisingly good in the air as he showed last night and I think he also scored another good header in another match...maybe the Doncaster cup tie. Has a decent spring on him.
