When is the charge from the EFL meant to land because Hull City have accused us of publishing play off information early?

It’s all getting very embarrassing for the media too. All these twats coming out with opinions that obviously don’t know any of the facts. The sky reporter live at the scene was absolutely laughable walking round the car park pointing out the tree, the training grounds which looked miles away and then walking through the golf club showing where he fled too, which toilet he used to get changed and how he exited the area, it was like they were talking about terrorist fleeing a bombing not a young kid taking a photo of a football team from 150 yards away on a phone. It’s got absolutely ludicrous and gets more ridiculous with every bit of “breaking news” like the cup of coffee he brought leading to a paper trail.

People have lost all sense of perspective. Meanwhile, kids are being bombed in Palestine and thousands are homeless on the streets of southern UK cities.

It's all getting a bit silly now

Most unlike us to be that amateurish, especially when it comes to getting timings right... Bit like training surveillance embargo windows.... ;)

The ticket information deletion excuse doesn’t really sound credible to me. We didn’t publish our allocation or any prices, we just published the order in which the club would allocate them…

Even if we are we aint paying him anything like that amount.

I have just seen the photo and catching up on it all now. Agreed, absolutely no way should we agree to that level of compensation. Cant believe it’s getting the attention it is based on that.
The evidence released today by Middlesbrough is the best evidence we have in our defence.

A small compensation to them is likely I think. Read previously Derby paid them £2m for something, so maybe more on that level.

What would stop any member of the public from booking a hotel room, taking a stroll in the hotel grounds and sending training notes to Hull if Boro are in the final?

Nothing

So Boro clearly can't be too bothered about sensitive tactical information being in the public gaze.

The line of fuckwits willing to come out and talk about expulsion is a little surprising - in that it cant only be explained by their own intellectual limitations surely? Jordan went from pissing himself laughing about it to thinking we should be in The Hague. They must be getting briefed from Gibson to whip it all up.

Gibson literally phoned him while he was on air

It's not exactly subtle behind-the-scenes stuff

What's your best tinfoil hat theory today?

The more you read and think about this whole Spygate the less it makes sense.

1: Why would you spy? With all the data around on players and the football data software (likely updated with AI now) there should be enough info to guess how the opposing team would play.

2: If you consider spying you know there’s consequences if you get caught, is it worth it? Our players are better then there’s and the analysts can probably guess in minutes after the match has started how the opposition has lined up and their tactics.

3: If you decide to spy, why send a young man to stand behind a tree and film with a smartphone? Why not hire a private investigator who knows how to spy and not get caught? Or someone who can operate a high quality drone and film from a distance.

You have to feel for the lad Will Salt. A huge amount of media pressure on some very young shoulders and must be worried about where this leaves his career.

Boro have hung him out to dry. Utter *unts.

The point is, they shouldn't need to be "bothered" about it if all clubs follow the EFL rules...

If he's done this, and it's off his own back, we'll have to hang him out to dry.

Will Salt's mother, Veruca Salt, has today released a statement on behalf of the family...

"This job was our son's golden ticket to the big time. It's nuts that his dream could be cruelly snatched away from him in such a fashion. We feel like our family's reputation is being dragged down the proverbial garbage chute. We want answers! We don't care how, we want them now! Also, does anyone know where I can get an Oompa Loompa?"

Thats true, but I just can’t see a realistic scenario where he’s done this off his own back. Even if that’s the line the club end up going with.

I know it’s in the club’s interest to stretch this out as long as possible, but it would be quite nice to just have it wrapped up so we know where we stand.

Just realised that the FA Cup final is on Saturday. Imagine if we did beat City and all this spy nonsense was ongoing on cup final day.

At the moment I believe someone at Boro has massively breached GDPR rules.

Information commissioner wouldn't like this, surely.

That loophole has been closed now. The two leagues have a reciprocal arrangement- points deductions from one carry over to the next

Probably stretching the imagination a bit here, but is it possible that for whatever reason he completely innocently traveled up north in advance of the home leg (who knows, to visit friends/family...any other reason in the world) stayed at a hotel and by pure coincidence, without previously realising, was the same place Boro train.

Once he's realised, he's sneakily gone to have a look and sent a couple of pics on WhatsApp along the lines of "Lol you're never going to guess who's training outside my hotel"?

And then needed a poo, hence the sudden trip to the toilet.

So we might finish with the lowest ever point total of minus points? 😉

This is a factual record of the events of the day in question.

I can't believe how this is being dragged out. And no one seems to have stumbled across the obvious.

I'd have thought any points deduction would immediately be appealed to get it reduced given Leicester City got 6 points deducted for breaching financial rules over a 3 year period.

It's hard to make the argument that watching 30 mins of training before a single game is worth a 3 point deduction when being able to buy and pay for a better squad over several seasons (which allowed Leicester to win automatic promotion) is worth a 6 point deduction.

If he was on official Southampton business would he not be using a Southampton FC bank card and not his own private one?

In fairness, we do have previous.

Punch against Everton anyone? Flynn's recent issues?

And the intern bought a coffee. Clearly he had a case of the coffee poops.
