IronCitySaint Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Looking at the league table this morning and seeing them on just 5 points the first thought was this is going to be a classic Saints defeat. Inexcusable to lose this one really. Difficult to make up a 4 point deduction and dropping points at places like Preston. There are just too many teams making a run at it this season. 4

Sheaf Saint Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Just now, Saint NL said: Scienza needs to finish that Don't know what he was even trying to do there. It's as if he just passed it to the keeper rather than make any kind of attempt to put it past him.
Pancake Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Atrocious first half, possibly worse than West Brom game. But overwhelmed again across the park and passes going missing every time we try to move the ball. be brave to yank off Leo at half time but he isn’t doing anything at all. Maybe move Dobbin out wide and bring on Mubama?
Mr X Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Just now, Saint Matty 76 said: Dobbin cannot control a ball. Bounces off his touch so often... We can kiss goodbye to a serious promotion push without a decent striker to play alongside larin the others aren't good enough 3
RedArmy Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago What a tackle from Peretz. Get him in at CB if Schlott is out for a while
JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Fucks sake, players weren't on it at all. Exactly what I feared. Hope they can turn it around. 1
Saint Fan CaM Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Actually Scienza seems to have forgotten how to pass - two wasted chances when a teammate was free. 2

I agree mate we will be lucky not to get relegated this season
benjii Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Scienza's final ball has been poor. That's been the main problem.
Mboto Gorge Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) Outrageous first half performance against one of the the worst teams in many years in this league. What the fuck is going on Edited 7 hours ago by Mboto Gorge
JohnS Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Another shocking 1st Half 😞 Looking for any positives to take from that - but there really is nothing! Scienza very poor Stephens with yet another calamity which he got away with Bree seems to be only looking backwards Tactically all wrong - normal predictable boring build up of backwards / sidewards play - all going down wings for crosses into nobody - why!? So disappointing 2

obelisk Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago If Saints could manage to play more than half a game at a time it'd be helpful. As it is they've been dreadful against the so-called "also-ran" teams. We've had a hardly a shot against the team that is bottom and should be grateful to only be one goal behind. There's something wrong with the way they're being set up. 1

Roo1976 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago As the commentary put it about 5-6 times in about 5 mins Saints want to score the perfect goal................any goal would be good right now. We seem so lightweight up front and lack power in the shooting department atm.
Wade Garrett Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago 6 minutes ago, Saint Matty 76 said: Dobbin cannot control a ball. Bounces off his touch so often... Noticed that in the first half v QPR. To be fair, he’s not a target man and needs balls to run on to. 1

saintant Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Missing Manning's creativity and passing through the lines. 1
LGTL Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I’d play Scienza every week at home, but away he’s largely anonymous. 1

captainchris Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Utter crap…. What is our plan anybody. They press with five did we think they wouldn’t !!!! Sienza has been dreadful…. Dobbin gives us nothing … Can you take Sienza aside in training and get him practicing shooting until he can do it!!!
Disco Stu Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago That's the worst half of football we've played for at least 4 days. 4
whelk Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago My missus just doesn’t understand why I am now on my 6th whisky 2 3
Micky Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago At the game. That was worse than the first half against WBA, we wilt when it gets remotely physical. This is effectively top against the bottom, and you really wouldn't think that we were anywhere near the top. Need a massive improvement in the second half to get anything out of this (I don't think that's gonna happen). Lose this and it will be a massive now to any real promotion aspirations we may have. Crap first half, big 45 coming up.
DT Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago We are not at the races. No urgency or physicalitty. They have one game plan, which is 'hassle' and we have no answer. Leo very poor and seems afraid of the big boys in the playground. Dispiritingly poor. Such bad recruitment to rely on someone as poor as Dobbin in the absence of Larin. Gutless. Hope Eckert lays into them at half time. Losing to cloggers. 1

Saint NL Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Oh well, we can change it up from the bench with Edozie, Fellows and Mubama 3

Maggie May Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago If we lose this, we’ve only gained a point out of these three games in the grand scheme of things. That’s how screwed we are with the points deduction. 1
DT Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago What is it about international breaks? We always seem to be shite before them
adrian lord Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Glad I got on with this report instead of watching that.

At least they're unhappy with the performances and looking to improve. I'd be more worried if they were satisfied with the performances.
disconnect Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Don’t know why Fellows is suddenly completely out of the picture, sure he’d have done a bit more out there than some of these performances. At least can beat players and put some good crosses in

Lord Duckhunter Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Second game running our central midfield aren’t getting control of the game defensively, far too easy to play through. Dobbin has offered nothing & Leo has been pretty average. This is unacceptable, especially after the woeful first half Tuesday. Too many flat track bullies, looking good when the going is good at our lovely home pitch, but don’t want to know when we need to get down amongst the much and bullets. They’ll run out of gas and we’ll probably pick up enough to pinch it, but that will only gloss over the fundamental issue, we let sides out battle and out work us for periods of games, and that’s fucking disgraceful. 1
