Very interesting. I have been very surprised at the lack of coverage, based on the fact that the press were all over just their pre trail hearings.

Could the lawyer that told me someone had turned Queens, been right all along?

Bizarre.

Suspect its because its linked to the latter case involving saggy and they don't want the result of the current one publicized as it would make getting an unbias jury for the later one harder.

Guys I fully respect your questions but before we will have a big press conference we need to fix immediate issues such as squad and some works with the arena. Hope you understand this. Give us a chance to do our job without noise around. Thanks a lot! Play up Pompey! We will be back with our plans shortly!

Arena??? LOL.

Happens in loads of trials - media blackout until a verdict is reached, something to do with influeincing the jury etc.

nice pix Pedg, so when they said it's been a triumph - they meant the Acclaim that's balanced on a fridge.

Part of me was disappointed to think that new owners might start pilling money into a new squad, then I Googled their owners again and up popped the connections to hitmen, stories of attempted murders and money laundering, the rejection by the UK's financial services authority over concerns about criminal activity and links to organised crime - well it just cheered me up!

Possibly the most disturbing CV ever put before the FaPP testers?

CSI Portsmouth - a forensic team sifts through a city's DNA desperately looking for any little differences, and also discovers there are no dental records.

I wonder how their arrival would go down if they had once upon a time put their real feelings for Poopey onto an email?

Oh that would be fun. Think I'll advise the taxi driver to keep hold of it for a while, I'm sure it'll be worth a few bob to one of the Sunday's one day, and I am sure he'd never breach any trust.

Just a damned shame I happen to work with a specialist anti-hacking company and might just know some experts in the field

If I was doing business with someone and they seriously came out with that, I would walk away as fast as I could without looking back. For such a "big" company, you would need a firm of proper accountants, not some mickey mouse one in Enfield, and use their address as the registered office. They may well have a head office in the City, but so what? Saying that slightly smacks of trying to convince people that they are kosher

I'm going to take a slight detour into the office tomorrow via their 'Lombard Street' head office (it's not on the main 'posh' part of Lombard Street but in a small side road extension of Lombard Street across the way from Bank tube station.)

Will post a photo of how plush their reception area is...

Lighten up, its the pompey takeover thread.

Indeed it is, and today pompey have been taken over, so perhaps it's now time to draw this to a close.

There has been much posturing and urine extracting here - much of it, total bullshyte. Come next season we are back on par with them and the only pleasure I want is in the shape of 6 points.

Like it or not, PFC are here to stay - they've been taken over - let's move on and let the real rivalry begin.

I won't tell you though becuase I am an insufferable onanist and really love whacking off over replies on here.

Fifty fukin three, and I had to google that - geeze what a fukin' sheltered life I've led...!

That's the third time they have been taken over in this thread and it still provides much hilarity. Trust me on this, there is still some humour to be had.

I think you are missing the point - we can sit here and take the **** all we want, but come next season if we don't have the bragging rights it will mean nothing. Real rivalry is played out by the players on the pitch not by a bunch of chest beating cyborwarriers on a message board.

End of the thread, not a chance.

We are now on owner #5 since this thread started and it has been more comical with each iteration. This my friends is not the end of the book, simply a new chapter.

SIX!

Gaydamak

Al Fahim the ice cream man

Al faraj the mirage

Chanrai - pre admin

Chanrai again - although reluctantly ;) - post admin

Finally[?] the mad Russians with alleged mafia connections.

Seven if you count the dodgy administrator.

All that in less than 2 years! And we though we went through a lot of managers in a decade!

Yeah I was thinking later that having a jury might have something to do with the media blackout. If it's likely to go on for a few days the jury need only to know what's gone on in court and make their decision based on that.

Makes it sound much more serious though which if it goes in the direction we want may mean Pompey may still yet see a points penalty.

I agree with Weston - it's six. Since this thread started less than 2 years ago.

Although to appease the pedants we might consider pluralising "Takeover" in the thread title.

I'm enjoying their 5-year plan almost as much as ours:-

Will Saints get to the Premier League?

Will the CVA creditors ever see a penny?

Erm no I'm not. I'm fully aware of that fact, but then this thread has never been about that.

Don't forget Storrie's tax case also. While I don't expect Pompey will get any points penalty, do we reckon he may go down if found guilty?

I don't think he will go down, but I do expect a points deduction if he is found guilty

Can't see it, Luton were only deducted 10 points for tax irregularities that consisted of around 50 separate charges. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Storrie has to answer for 2 charges

It's part of a serviced office complex. Lots of small companies based there it would seem. Space available for anyone interested in a central London office location...

There was Watford, Tottenham and Bournemouth as well. You could well be right, but thre will be something, even if it falls under financial irregularities and comes from the Liquidators investigation or the Insolvency commissions report.

Also, as somone stated earlier, media blackouts are often used if there is going to be a 2nd related trial later on, the blackout continued until the 2nd trial is finished so that the result of the first trial doesn't prejudice the 2nd which I think might be the case in this instance.

come on, read back through some of the posts from this time last year from some real "know it alls", giving it the "don't worry they are toast" despite being in the cup final, and mocking anyone who suggested they were getting away with it - which is exactly what they have done!!

it is a f*cking scandal, i bet the new owners have some connections to the Gaydamaks somewhere, who have magnificiently managed to end up with a club still in the championship and have lost the £138M debt weighing them down.

you lot continue to mock if you choose, but we'll be playing a competitive skate team next season, for my own sanity i hope we smash them home and away

Exactly, poor old Pompey fans whose club was supposedly toast , have suffered 4 Wembley trips ,a European run, a team of star players and internationals,2 big wins over their bitterest rivals the media attention and pity.

I think I would like a bit of that toast.

They have got away with it and have experiences that i would have liked to have taken my kids to enjoy.

There are some very good people on this thread who have thought they were toast but must be wringing their hands in frustration at how this has unravelled. This thread is not for giving, we have been shafted as football fans and taxpayers

I agree there will be something, but it's more likely to be a 50 quid fine than a points deduction

If the verdict in this case is something that the FL would normally look at some kind of penaltys to the club would they have to wait until the 2nd trial? It might make sence to wait but if the 2nd trial doesnt relate to anything the FL would be interested in then the sooner the better I would of thought?

Bit bloody complex this court/FL malerky aint it!

This is part of 1-6 Lombard Street. I occasionally send off deliveries to 3 Lombard Street to Jardine Matheson who aren't a small company. So there are some decent companies there. But having said that, I have come across a fair few companies in the past that set themselves up (and let's not forget that Convers was incorporated in Sept 2010) at a nice address to give themselves an air of respectability, only to go bust or get closed down shortly down the line.

These two posts sum it up for me. Can't believe some Saints fans are still trying to be so smug on here, it's provided me with no enjoyment whatsoever, let this thread drift on into history.

I remember it all well and all those people made the same mistake of believing that in English football, cheats don't prosper.

What will forever be a massive burden to Pompey though is their unsustainable debt. It'll always be there until they make serious cutbacks and stop relying on loans and having laundered money pumped through the club to stay afloat. If the Russians were only there to get rid of tens of millions of pounds which were the proceeds of a dodgy deal and they went into admin again when it ran out (sound familiar?) then even the FL will look very dim on them going back into admin again so soon.

It is their unsustainable debt that will keep this thread going. Whilst it is there they won't be attracting any credible businessmen who are in it for the long term anytime soon IMO

Quite simple Nick, support those bottom dwellers down the road. You come across over the whole thread, as having some sympathy. They have survived through cheating the laws of this land, backed by a body in charge of football, who have a question hanging over their heads, who in turn, have just decried a higher authority in football, who also have a question to answer. So all in all, it comes as no surprise that cheats fc are still in business, but that said, look at their 'new' owners, look at the common denominator with previous 'owners'...take off those blue coloured glasses Nick.
