Two years ago we only signed Charles and Stewart for fees as well and neither had a real impact on the season. Seems we're going down a different route this time and it's exciting. SR have made me eat my words about this window for now, hopefully it translates onto the pitch and these new signings do work as there's a big match coming up soon. But, definitely feel more confident. Just need to get that star forward... (Greedy)

The link is obvious, just a bit cryptic. Still is ginger, so is Sargent, if that’s not a link I don’t know what is. They have also both been known to drink from cups, also known as beakers, Beaker is also a ginger. How much more do you need?

I've been offline pretty much all day so still catching up. Pretty amazing day and looking like a much better window.

It's a shame about Matty but we didn't need him to go up.

Alfie tends to be like Athletic, gets a lot of info but only reports when he is confident 

Where as the likes of Crook who obviously want engagement just report a fart on the training ground if it’s directed in another teams direction

It sounds like the two fellas from Germany are both tipped to play at a much higher level, ones already playing Bundesliga so wonder what the deal is to come to the championship? A move to us wouldn't appear a natural step up for both of these players who appear to be very, very good

Stepping stone to Liverpool/PL in a couple of years, I guess. That’s been the model for a while now

Perhaps returning to our ‘use us as a stepping stone’ transfer approach.  It’s obvious that our decline the past few years started when we started making life difficult for players when looking to leave.  As annoying as it always was seeing players like Mane and van Dijk play for us for 1-2 seasons before earning their moves, if the alternative is 5 years of Nathan Redmond or Jan Bednarek, I know which approach I’d prefer.

Got to think Johannes is also a factor in the german moves. Clearly well respected in those circles and offering a pathway etc.

watching the videos of Fellows and Scienza they both seem to thrive on putting crosses into the box for a big striker, although Scienza also seems good at cutting inside and shooting, you'd think that would mean one of Downs or Stewart are going to be the preferred striker.

Agree, i dont know much about either of them until today but both of them seem to be really highly rated in Germany with both tipped for moves to big clubs, so pretty amazing if they both come to us, as i say, it doesn't appear to be a natural upward move for either.

Given that Still has been whanging on about wanting to play with wingers, I think a bigger man up top is exactly what he wants.

Most clubs are like that now. Apparently the reason Isaak has kicked off is because Newcastle promised to sell him if they got an offer from a top club after a set amount of time. Seems like everyone is stepping stone club these days

2/3 players for every position for whatever formation we play:

GK - Baz/Macca/Long

RB - Mads/Bree

LB - Welington/Manning/Taylor

RCB - THB/Wood/Edwards

LCB - Capn Jack/Quarshie

CM1 - Shea/Jander

CM2 - Downes/Sesay

RW - Fellows/Fraser

AM - Azaz/Matsuki

LW - Robinson/Scienza

Str - Downs/Stewart/AA/Archer

Assuming we sell Matty, Smallbone, Aribo and BBD by the deadline.

Hell of a squad for the Championship. Surely no more incomings if we get Jander, Scienza, Azaz and Fellows... surely...

(Gets greedy and wants more..)

Mateus Fernandes going to WHU

Strongly rumoured ins:

- Capser Jander, DM from nurnberg in German div 2 

- Finn azaz, Irish  #10 from boro

- Fellows and Scieza, wingers  from WBA & German league
