AlexLaw76 Posted Saturday at 15:52 Posted Saturday at 15:52 FT If Will Still continues with 3 at the back, he can get in the bin and we will not get promoted It is killing us 14

Saint Scott Posted Saturday at 15:53 Posted Saturday at 15:53 Pathetic performance from the players and Still today
Disco Stu Posted Saturday at 15:53 Posted Saturday at 15:53 Chance conversion in the first half wasn't good enough. The game should have been put to bed.
benjii Posted Saturday at 15:53 Posted Saturday at 15:53 Lol, Lallana trying to scrap with their coaches
Suhari Posted Saturday at 15:53 Posted Saturday at 15:53 Still having a real go at their manager. Coaches having a few handbags.
Viking Saint Posted Saturday at 15:53 Posted Saturday at 15:53 Some afters on the touchline at the final whistle?¿

saintant Posted Saturday at 15:53 Posted Saturday at 15:53 Just now, Osvaldorama said: We shouldn’t play this awful fucking formation anyway. Joke. Yeah, we had a very weak midfield today with Downes missing. As soon as Watford went to a 4 man midfield we should have matched them and that may have won us the game. 4
coalman Posted Saturday at 15:54 Posted Saturday at 15:54 There was a lot more positive and cohesive attacking play than our first couple of games. Though we totally switched off after they made their subs and started giving the ball away. I'm both relieved and disappointed with a draw. 4

Holmes_and_Watson Posted Saturday at 15:54 Posted Saturday at 15:54 Still really annoyed with the Watford manager. Went beyond the touchline, with Still waiting for him to say something when they were shaking the refs' hand.
obelisk Posted Saturday at 15:54 Posted Saturday at 15:54 Saints throw away 2 points. They'll need to be tougher than that if they want promotion.

Saint86 Posted Saturday at 15:56 Posted Saturday at 15:56 (edited) Really really poor - and error after error at the back. The less said about Manning defensively the better (good free kick - but he isn't on the pitch to score goals, he's there to deny chances... instead he gifts them time after time). And Stephens and THB are still full of mistakes at the end of August and this should be setting off klaxons behind the scenes - and the inability of all 3 of them to not be able to consistently pass to a team mate is very concerning. We've also had fraser, robinson, edwards, stewart all playing out of position... which is still concerning on the depth front -Crucial points dropped again. Saving grace - we didn't lose. We desperately need more cover at both full backs - and an improvement at LB. The central defenders are all a liability atm. Woods probably the best one... how did that happen. Holmes_and_Watson Posted Saturday at 15:59 Posted Saturday at 15:59 First half we had some signs of structure and purpose going forward. Second half, the energy levels weren't there. Watford shifted their formation, and we couldn;t cope with it. We were light going into this in midfield anyway, with Downes dropping out. We also struggled to match the physical strength and pace that Watford clearly recruit for. Sadly, we didn't really match their stamina either, which I'd really like to see get us over the line in games, rather than allow opponents to look the more likely. Still throwing on forwards made no difference, except make us look more tactically disjointed today. We had noone able to create anything for them. On the plus side we have reinforcements on the way. Hopefully, they will make an immediate difference and we can push to better levels in a system Still prefers. 2
obelisk Posted Saturday at 15:59 Posted Saturday at 15:59 Need to start getting a winning mentality. Watford were robust and the ref weak but we're going to see a lot of that.
Sheaf Saint Posted Saturday at 15:59 Posted Saturday at 15:59 Hmmm. Poor result in the end. Far too many sloppy mistakes in the second half. Should have scored more in the first half when we were well on top. Disappointing that an incorrect offside call robbed us of a golden chance to go 2-0 up. We really need to be ditching this 3 at the back ASAP. We showed in the first half how good we can be when we have some control in midfield. I'm usually one of Baz's biggest critics but he had no chance with that FK, and to suggest otherwise is absurd. The finish for their first goal was hit with power and accuracy, but I can't help but feel that a keeper with better positioning and quicker reactions might have done better with it from such a tight angle. 2
OttawaSaint Posted Saturday at 16:00 Posted Saturday at 16:00 We play some decent stuff at times, but fuck, we're sloppy in possession, not clinical at all, and Baz, he barely stops anything that's not right at him. Hope the 2 new guys can improve us.
Andrew Watson Posted Saturday at 16:00 Posted Saturday at 16:00 Another 2 points thrown away, because we cannot defend to save our lives,Watford are mediocre and so are we on this showing. Simply not good enough. 3
