Not sure who said that first but I think it’s what Tonda should be doing. If it’s a groin strain he won’t be back tomorrow and depending on how severe it is could be a fare while longer.

BARCELONASAINT Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Saints are generally not quick to let fans know about injuries so i am not surprised there is no update from the club about how bad Leo's injury is. Personally i will be very pleasantly surprised if we see him again this side of the international break. At best he's back for the Arsenal game but i doubt it.
Turkish Posted March 17 Posted March 17 This is interesting as we were told no way would premier league teams be interested he’s too old and not that good https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/25943165.southampton-scienza-reportedly-drawing-premier-league-interest/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwZnRzaAQmYeZleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEeB-62MFYnoL31wyBaDmvUkpI0_hjkymmKHuh81Ty7GNUpyeMtanispvyW24U_aem_g43STk-31dyDgq07x45j1g#Echobox=1773750322
JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Definitely a handful of premier league teams would take a punt. Yes his scoring isn't there in the Champ but can see him improving that over time.
DT Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Another great player we'll see less than a season from and sell for too cheap. Really hope he likes it here and stays, but he's probably too good for us if we blow the playoffs (and even get there) 1
BARCELONASAINT Posted March 17 Posted March 17 If we get to the playoffs and win a return to the Premier League then Leo stays at Saints. The only reason in that scenario that he doesn't stay is that a top 6 side come in for him and we don't stand in his way. As much as i love him i don't think a top 6 side would come in for him.
Midfield_General Posted March 17 Posted March 17 He’s got farcically low offer from West Ham three days before the end of the transfer window written all over him

So long as we pull down the pants of anyone who comes in for Leo, then so be it. I'd like to think we'd take into account their premier league windfall, and add at least £10m on top of our highest valuation.

What we sing to him is no worse than Leeds and others did which he brushed off as banter. But the some of the stuff over many years at his Uncle who is a properly loathed figure for our fanbase is probably the difference. Frank Lampard JR may dislike Saints but him and a significant element of West Ham fans seriously dislike each other. Probably hate. Turkish Posted March 20 Posted March 20 People rave about Hayden Hackney but Leo seems to be better. Fans usually over or underestimate their own players but Leo we do seem to have one of if not the best player In division

On the basis of the stats quoted - Azaz is better than both of them, which shows what a load of nonsense comparing stats is it's a completely pointless comparison - as you say different types of players

But it's the only way we're going to see the likes of Leo, Peretz and Charles still playing for us next season, and I have total faith that this team with Tonda at the helm would be light years better than our last PL team. 3

I agree, we would still be fighting to stay up obviously but it appears we've now got a manager who isn't wedded to one style of football and that is rare these days. Since he ditched 5 at the back it seems like he's happy to change things up and prepare a different game plan for each opponent. 2

Other than that he is a very good player though. Possibly a promoted team or a side towards the bottom of the table?

Sir Ralph Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago What a guy Southampton's Leo Scienza: "Amazing. There are no words to describe how much we fought today. It was not luck, we fought so hard and we deserved it. We played good, very mature. Let's just enjoy the night and enjoy the moment. Tomorrow we have to switch on again because the calendar is crazy. We have a big, big focus this season to be at Wembley more than once. So let's just enjoy the day today. "It's difficult to say it went exactly how we wanted it, but certainly spells in the game went the way we wanted. They are the best team in England and one of the best teams in the world right now, so it's difficult to stop the quality they have, but we did very well. We studied a lot. We knew when to suffer. My team-mates were very cold in front of the goal to score and we deserved to win and are very happy. "In the first half I tried to dribble the keeper, I didn't see the defender, he just went behind me and woosh, I didn't see where he came from. I relaxed. It should've been a goal, there is no excuse. In the second half I was a bit unlucky. Sometimes the ball hits the post and goes down for a goal. But football is like this. The most important action is the next one, so thanks to my team-mates because they scored the goals today. It's an amazing feeling. "No, it doesn't matter who plays [for Arsenal]. They have 30 players and all of them can play and do the job. They are an amazing team. But this is the beauty of the cup. You have a Championship team who play at home with an amazing atmosphere, our fans were unbelievable, and it's decided in 90 minutes. Everything was in our favour so we are happy. "We play in the moment the best team in England. If you want to win the title you have to beat them all. All the other teams will be very difficult but at the moment we just have to be grateful, tomorrow is a new day. I don't when the game will be because we don't have the calendar space! "I want to thank my team-mates because without them it is not possible to have this amazing night at St Mary's."

S-Clarke Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago He makes moving with the ball look easy, like he's gliding with it - similar to how Bale used to look for us from LB, just flows along the ground. He's fun to watch, what a pickup - getting him is utter top tier scouting, no doubts.
LGTL Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Funny how he was almost an after thought on deadline day too. Remember the rumours circling about his attitude too from Blackmore I think? Looks absolutely ridiculous now.

We were chasing him all summer tbf, we just dragged out the deal to get the best price for us. The attitude comments came from a weird German reporter, who I think had a personal grudge against Leo for some reason. Edited 12 hours ago by S-Clarke

His dribbling style kinda reminds me of Eden hazard but more direct , love his diagonal runs off the ball too he should of scored when azaz routinely put him through on goal
bangkoksaint Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Am I correct in saying it was Will Still that pushed hard for signing Leo? Maybe if he blasts us into the PL and that is correct then Will can take some of the credit for the season!! 1
