If he is sacked we'll not hear his side on whether those above influenced team selection and tactics because he'll have to sigh an ND agreement. SR continue to pass under the radar and deflect blame.

I asked earlier in this thread if we played this formation under Martin and during the Prem season.

We did not. It appears as though that's just conspiracy nonsense and this is Still's doing. Having also checked Still's preferred formation under Lens, he did more often than not, set up the same way we have almost all season.

It's Still this.  But SR have been a fucking fuck up from start to finish too.

You know it's time for the manager to go when you're almost willing your team to lose to make it unequivocally clear just how bad this team is.
Not all his fault - the recruitment has been terrible and missing our best player in Shea Charles today, not much luck with woodwork yada yada - but the bottom line is we're tactically inept, we play slow predictable football, we can't keep a clean sheet, we can't score, we can't do the basics like take corners or defend them, we can't improve individual players and we certainly don't look like a team - with a manager who doesn't ever seem to smile, inspire or energise...it's time Will, thanks for coming out.

Still will go but there's so many decisions that have got us to this point unrelated to the manager. Signing Downs as the only striker, giving Stephens a 3 year contract, not signing championship experience where it counts, bringing Trollope in who failed previously along with keeping idiots like Lallana, not signing a keeper. The new manager whoever they are needs to keep things very simple and clear. We need to play the best players in their proper positions with no dicking about and then we need to buy a new striker as early as possible in January.

I mean the second half was better than the first but Jander shot aside we still had no shots at goal.

surprised in injury time / full time the chants against SR weren’t sung again?! We are too nice as a fan base.

Does Still survive? He’s making it very hard for himself to stay on.  This squad may be low of confidence but its also massively under performing.

No surprise. I saw Preston a week or so back, and they were miles better than anything I'd seen from our squad this season.

They didn't look like strangers to each other, were reasonably fit, had players to fill the roles they needed and we're willing to put a shift in.

These all might be considered to be basics. But all have been beyond SR's understanding and every one of the hires they have made throughout the club.

Once again, we did have a chance to level. AA couldn't get on the end of a good ball right across the face of goal. Not only do we never take those chances, the rest of our shot stats have to take into account that we let our opponents reset every time. There was an end to end period in the second half. Despite the space we offered no quick forward passing and no initiative or plan.

Jander forced an excellent save on 70 minutes. Like previous games, we get a moment of excellent solo work to create a chance, but can't get it in the net.

As the game went on, Still put on his normal bag of forwards. As normal, they were disjointed, desperate and offered nothing.

Preston took advantage and got a second as we trotted back after them, not bothering to really try and stop them.

Such a broken looking club right now, and the response at the final whistle just emphasised that to the incompetents who have overseen it, one terrible decision at a time.

Im actually starting to believe this more and more. I very much disliked the Welsh lunatic but he did hint at being told what to do.....and people have been mentioning it more and more on here. Surely it  cant be  a coincidence that manager after manager has failed.  We've got a good squad for this level so its either the managers fault - again - or there really is something going on behind the scenes. Mind you, we have hired some awful managers and I hoped Still would be different.

Losing 2-0 at home to Preston. Unacceptable.

Still has to go.

Whatever cretinous wanker keeps insisting on 5 at the back should go too.

Lallana, Martin and Trollope can fuck off too.

I reckon he'll get two more matches and he'll go when we lose at home to the bottom side.

Exactly what I just said earlier. These horrific owners will drag the poor fans through complete humiliation , before accepting yet another dreadful appointment won’t be turning itself around to save their skins. Sums them up. Absolutely nailed on defeat to Sheff Wed at home if still remains in charge

This really is an issue for us. We rarely kick up a fuss and demand better.

Tomorrow we will have won 1 game in 365 days... and our fans either left early or quietly filed out at the end... a club like west ham would have had a riot and been trying to stop the directors box or throwing missiles at it... Yes SR have been awful as owners, yes Still was terrible and out of his depth, yes some of the players are weak links... but the fans also have to accept a degree of the blame as our home support especially does need to be better.

Meanwhile, the man making those calls will fail up to Juventus while we languish in their left-behind *****.

You know he's our only big man up top option.

Anyone literally would be better than Downs. How can Still put him on the pitch aver again, how can that happen. The youngster should have played…

AA is not good enough either  but much better than Downs.

SR need to go sooner rather than later. You can’t fix this mess with just another manager, no matter who it is.

Complete overhaul of ownership, management and players required before it gets any worse.

This place is not going to be pretty reading for a long time, wonder who next is the sacrifical lamb.

I would guess Still's issue is he is a transition manager who isnt expecting a lot of posession.

We look so unorganised in attack and defence, no pace and do not seem to be getting better.

Dont get me wrong the players have been utter wank as well but we cant get rid of them mid season and I am not sure who the fuck can turn this mess around.

I still think we have the makings of a good young team just need some football whisperer who tell them how to play football again.

To be frank he's brought this on himself and the 3 centre backs is what has done for him because it totally screws the team up. Firstly we don't have players who know how to play the wing back role properly. It leaves us with too many defenders who don't act as a unit and get in each others way while they aimlessly pass the ball amongst themselves because there are too many of them. It leaves us a body light in midfield which makes us easy to attack and makes it hard for us to develop attacks of our own. In short it's a disaster but he stuck with it for far too many games thereby negating the good attributes of players like Fellows and Azaz. I wanted to give him a chance but have run out of patience with him.

Knew I should've jumped on this 🤦

Easy money, those useless cunts have paid for my dinner.

No excuses today, he’s got to go, and if he is being asked to play a certain way then he should make it known and resign with some reputation intact.

Striker yes, plus a couple of experienced players who know this league and can support the younger players on the pitch.

Getting beyond a joke now.

Still is useless and needs to go.

Sports Republic are worse. Any fan still buying merchandise, tickets and using the fanzone are paying into their coffers. Sport Republic needs to be completely boycotted, we are a pointless player trading company.

No. We have won twice in the league this season, but our previous win was a year ago today v Everton so after today it is 2 wins in a calendar year.

Edit: misled by, or misheard, Blackmore. 1 home win since Everton, a massive 3 wins in total.

fuck off mate

I get it and no one should be criticised for paying to watch their team.

But that was spineless at full time, it can’t just be left to the away fans who travel to watch us to get rid of Still and SR. Home crowd has to do a lot more of the heavy lifting in terms of protests or don’t buy home tickets.

Didn’t Brentford play a similar style to what we’re playing now? Has this got a if it isn’t broken break it paw prints all over it?

This is an absolute joke. No way can the manager survive this. I really wanted Will to succed but doing the same thing over and over again is baffling. Playing five at the back again, why? It clearly umbalances the side. No focal point through the middle. Aribo could have provided that today.

Yes we were poor due to having no money and having to play crap players as couldn’t afford better ones. This however is just sheer incompetence on levels never seen before anywhere

Indeed. If sports Republic think I'm going near level one until they leave they've got another thing coming.

As do Goztepe, where he’s supposed to be focusing, not here.
