FFS... Just build a website that can handle peak traffic rather than have some bullshit queuing system. Twats.

That's hilarious. When I worked for Argos, on Black Friday we were doing something like 20 transactions a second. That's transactions, not sessions ...

Looks like stripes only on bottom like last years yellow away

Mmmm black socks

wd of preferred white , lil sheff Utd esqe as we can see but there we go. Shame we can’t have striped backs seems in the old days it was easier to see a black number not like today with all the cameras and HD it seems to be more difficult.

kit's fine to me, don't mind generic stripes. training kit is about as uninspiring as could be. last season we had the delightful baby vomit green set, now we can mix and match it with ...... beige.

I assumed the shoulder and body stripes not lining up and ending up with two points was just a cheap dhgate copy thing. Nope that’s the actual design.

It’s ok.  Not the best kit we’ve ever had and not the worst.

Wish we would go back to blue shorts though.  Say the same thing every year.

"okay" is about right. It's almost as if the club has not had any interest due to other stuff. Can we blame Steve Gibson et al for a merely "okay" kit too?

The fact that the stripes on the shirt and the shoulders doesn’t line up bothers me and when you notice it you can’t unsee.

id have made the shoulders a block colour, the white in particular being a nod to our 2011/12? Promotion kit

either look much better imo, but I’m not a designer!!spacer.png

I wonder if the sponsor is photoshopped on for the promotional photos because we had a new sponsor lined up if we were in the PL or if there was genuinely concern P&O would pull out due to Spygate 2.0. I think these kits are decided earlier than we think so probably the former.

Changed my mind.  Just seen the white on the side of the shorts.  Shite kit.

We never seem to get such details perfect... Almost as if things are just slapped together rather than properly designed...

It's nice enough. Looks like they learned some lessons from the PL kit 2yrs ago and made some tweaks to improve upon that

Not sure about the black socks, that feels very Sheffield United to me

Not too impressed. It’s a lazy effort, last season’s was miles better.

If you’re having stripes, they need to cover the back and the front, otherwise you end up with this.

Have you seen Boro's new shirt though? It's horrendous

Let's be honest, it's cheap, trashy shit.

Even DHGate can’t fuck this one up!

Like this a lot. Once again, mock-ups/concepts are usually better than what we get.

It's so "beige". It's nothing special. Could be any kit of any red and white if multiple Clubs in the UK.

I doubt it will sell well as it's so similar to everything else we've had.

Oh well. At least it means next year we'll probably move away from the same old dull stuff.

Find ours really dull, and why would you wanna make a kit that reminds you of the worst season in your history…?!

White socks were a Lawrie M fetish. We never wore them until 1974. And some of our best times - 94/95 and 89/90 came with the team in black socks

Absolutely stunning.

Just out of curiosity i added in a bit of navy (i think prefer the white sock version of the below):

In the Fan Advisory Board minutes from 11th May (between first and second legs) it says:

"P&O to remain front of shirt if staying in same league, and Midnite to remain also. Betting likely to be on sleeve or training kit. Having lots of conversations which will conclude at the end of the season."

Which I would read as us having the option to get something more lucrative than P&O if in PL.

I don't mind the kit, but it's boring as hell.  I'll look at it in a more positive light if the away and 3rd shirts are more interesting.

I know it shouldn't matter but I absolutely hate that we have black socks, exactly the same as Sheff Utd and Sunderland.

White socks made the kit distinctive from everyone else, or red/white hooped socks. Black literally the worst option and I hate it.

Pros:
Very smart shirt, nice to have some more red on it this time around.

Cons:
Black socks? Really? Very Sheffield United
The plain back is bad enough but to have a plain back at the top and then stripes at the bottom is ridiculous.
The price. Jesus!

100%. We wear white socks, literally that’s what makes it a Saints kit. Red and white hoops is ok as an alternative.

Just silly to go with black.

The plain back I don’t understand, given you can have stripes?! Wish someone could ask why we go for the block.

The kids will be ok as it’ll look better with name and number in the block.

Hopefully the away kits are a bit more custom and adventurous

Maybe one more year of Puma, but that might be a two way option, i think Umbro are the only ones making decent kits in recent years.

The bigger brands just do templates and clubs seem to accept it. Hummel still the best imo

Hummel make the best kits for individuality and specific connection to a club. However, I do think the fit and quality is questionable. The fit changed season on season when we had them.

Adidas, especially when its the trefoil, are currently the best in terms of style and design (imho).

Nike, occasionally come out with some decent designs, but even the big clubs end up with variations on a theme. They and Adidas are overpriced but are at least a standard fit.

PUMA are interesting as they generally play it safe for the home kit, but will offer something a bit more niche for the 3rd kits. The club probably look at it and think, keep it simple (although I agree some of the design choices could be improved - the back being one), the fans want a red and white striped shirt. There are limits on what you can do with that brief.

Away - rotation of Yellow, Pink, Green over the course of a couple of seasons. 3rd kit - go wild, the hardcore fans and kit geeks will likely buy that or be gifted at Christmas.

I like the home shirt, although a bit basic. Hoping for some sort of sublimated image in either the Away or 3rd (I think the city map will be used in some way, based on the adverts so far.)

Isn't it a requirement that you have a block of colour on the back of Premier League shirts?
