From now on I'll not bother worrying about semantics and team sheets and silly superfluous bollocks like that.

It makes little difference when you're manager is so utterly on the ball.

I think he deserves the credit as much as anyone today

Thy better hope he doesn't pick up a long term injury because they are so reliant on him whereas we can score goals without Larin.

Be a real shame if Downes left one on him at the end of next month.

As a team it seems we are just as much an attacking threat without Larin as with him.  Perhaps it allows others to take more responsibility or more variation in the last third.  Whatever it is I like what I am seeing.

Think that’s a bit harsh we’ve battered teams as well as we have today with Larin being instrumental in said batterings, but it’s great to see we can mix it up without him. We are starting to purr imho. C’mon!!!!

Be interesting to see if they can afford the full agreed sale price.

If he keeps up the scoring record then I wouldn't discount a desperate Premier League side gambling on him in January.

With Matsuki happy to go into central positions, we're able to have Leo supporting a very mobile trio with Azaz and Dobbin there too.

I only caught the last 20 mins, right after QPR got one back. But we were in control pretty much right away, making sure we gave them scares at the back, and taking away any pressure from ourselves. Lots of late subs to save any tired legs.

A nice goal from Wellington, who keeps reminding Manning to put in good performances, as he's decent.

Mubama made a good run in the build up to it, which was good to see. 5th (but really second).

Well that was an excellent all-round performance. I thought QPR played with spirit in the first half and even though the disallowed goal for Dobbin should have stood we couldn't complain about being just 1-0 up.

But it's the second-half performance that ecourages me the most - the team came out all guns blazing and dominated. 4-1 and could have been more.

Quiet shout-out for Jack Stephens who is a player I have given a hard time of for a long time but long may he stay in this rich vein of form at the back.
Dobbin works really hard and deserved a goal today.
If we can win at West Brom in midweek we are truly on our way.

He's playing better because he's playing with a much better CB. As I've repeatedly said over the last 3 years, THB was the reason our defence has been poor.

JWP was very good today

And so was Bragg, a player I've been lukewarm about, but he was very good today - central midfield looks well stocked with Jander, JWP, Downes, Bragg and the rapidly improving Williams.    Great second half from Saints - Scienza back to his best; Dobbin is finding his feet.   CBs both excellent.

West Ham have already lost 3 home games. You don't win this league with those sort of stats so they need a vast improvement in their home form or they'll be dropping like a stone.

A'noon.

Heathrow trip, managed to listen to some commentary. Sounded even first half, and a strong second half from us.

Bloody good result. We're growing.

COYRs!

Best thing for the officials now is if win anyway by a clear margin. 👀

You love to see it.

Really good performance that, especially second half. Teams don’t seem to learn at St Mary’s - if you try and play football against us, we’ll batter you.

7 goals in 2 games without him.

Loving that instead of feeling the need to push Larin back into the side as soon as he's half fit he (despite having already scored 7) will feel he has to demonstrate why he needs his place back.

Well done Dobbin and the front players learning how to adapt their game to suit him.

Will be great to have two different styles of effective front play to choose from going forward.

It's Tonda laughing at them as he plays rope a dope 🙂

Excellent performance, could easily have scored more, some really fluid attacking play at times.

I think we are going to struggle with the refs and media this season as we get nearer the auto slots.

I would argue that we are actually looking better since he's been out. This is a team full of confidence and hitting its stride now.

Completely missed the second half due to work but you can't knock that final scoreline against a decent, in form QPR. We seem to be unstoppable at home which is how it should be (bar not being able to bang one past Bazunu and the cup defeat to WHam). Bring on the next challenge. 😄

Good that latest refereeing travesty didn't effect this result.

We've had a blatant penalty not given and now a perfectly legit goal disallowed - what will the bent officials come up with next?

Best goal difference in the league currently - could be crucial at the end of the season.

I'm sure "Gibbo" is working on a way to get this fixed.

Cam Bragg MOTM for me.

Their keeper saved them from a hammering.

A special mention for the QPR fans.  I never realised what a bunch of wankers they are.  Who knew?

It was always going to be the way this season unfortunately

Didn’t observe the minute’s silence before the game and spent most of it watching the Chapel and giving it the big one instead of watching the game.

Didn’t see any of them wearing Trevor Francis tracksuits either.

Did the lino actually put his flag up for offside?

Just watched it back and he didn't, he just stood there with his flag by his side so all very suspicious.

To be fair, our fans didn't observe the minute's silence either. It think it was confusing to have it after "The Last Post" rather than using the music to end the minute's silence, which I think is how they did it previously. Once the bugler stopped playing, the crowd started cheering before people remembered they were supposed to be silent. In the end, we got about 15 seconds of quiet.

A good week for Dragan Solak his nemesis President Aleksandar Vučić finally defeated in Serbian elections after 9 years in charge( Dragan threatened to sue him after accusing Solak of attempting to ‘depose’ Vučiċ) and thoroughly vindicated over his choice of appointing Spors and standing by Tonda.

I thought, from in the ground, that he kept it down until told by the ref to raise it. This was at least 30 seconds after the ball had gone in. Bizarre decision.

Could/should have been six or seven, that second half performance was men against boys

If a fit Larin had played today it could have been double figures!
