Strange offensive subs and absolutely inexcusable that we didn’t kill that game off in the second half. Felt like the ref was really on our side as well. Regardless, two great wins in a row and a hopefully favourable home game next where we can see a better performance with the result. Great to get a clean sheet too. Downes MOTM. We needed to do better in front of goal today. Stoke are a very poor side and allowed us to create multiple clear cut chances. A real slog, that game. Not enough incisive or decisive passing and end product, though we did have a couple of moments. Stoke played reasonably well in transition between midfield and attack, but we mostly dealt well with their crosses and our positioning and marking. A classic Championship game.
