Loans expire at the end of the season. Players automatically return to their parent clubs. There is no need to force anything.

He's got no choice if he likes it.

Leaving aside the contractual stuff, just curious how much SC actually liked the chronic uncertainty of even getting paid.

I’ve no idea what the agreement was or how the mechanics of this work, but as he’s our player contracted to SFC don’t we continue to pay him, and Sheff Weds either pay us their contribution on agreed wages, or just pay him that element?  If the latter then Saints still pay the balance.

He was in no danger of not being paid. He is a contracted Southampton employee. His wages are paid by Saints.

Sheffield Wednesday pay Saints a fee for loaning him plus a % of the wage amount. But Sheffield Wednesday not paying their players does not impact Charles getting paid by Saints.

Regardless of where the paycheck comes from, if you were with an employer who didn't pay its employees on time, and saw that happen to everyone around you, how enthusiastic would you be to stay there?

And if you adfd back in the context of this discussion, it was a speculation about whether he'd be keen to push for a deal to stay at Weds.

Apart from that, there’s no way that SW have the financial means to buy Charles. If he’s not playing for Saints next season (likely) he’ll be sold to a more financially able club and Dragan will recoup some of his lost £’s.
