Whilst Wood didn't get a clean touch on it, why didn't Macca come out to the player? I'd say he was more at fault there than Wood. Had he been a yard or two closer to the player he would have saved that. If the player then tried to take it around him it would have given the two defenders who had nearly got back to him tie to recover too

Of course it was.

We always need 20+ shots on target to score one, yet regularly manage to concede from the first one.
