Of who is available without compo and might fancy it, I’d also go for Carsley, even if he was responsible for Harwood-Bellis’s full England cap 😉. Played at high level, thought out as a coach and has a tough side if that’s needed (which it is here currently). Watch them appoint Leonardis Carsleotti when they sack Still on January 31st.

Do you honestly think a new Manager will do any better with our squad and if so, why?

Personally I’m hoping every waking minute of Spors January window (and some days beforehand) is concentrated on searching for and signing a competent, big, CF. That way Still has a fighting chance of keeping us in the division.

I've moved into the out camp. 

The players are a problem but despite them, we should be doing better.

We need someone experienced in. 

It's that desperate even someone like Steve Bruce would be an improvement, at least temporarily.

Carrick for me too. Our best XI is clearly suited to a 4-2-3-1 which he likes to play and he knows the league.

Apparently there is a 26 year old whizz kid currently managing in the third division of the Azerbijan league who has just won 3 matches in a row. Unlike our current manager he also has a nice beard. Sounds ideal for SR.

I would have welcomed Cooper in the summer, as many others would have, but the ship sailed and now at Brondby.  A smart boardroom would likely approach him and buy out his contract (shouldn't be extortionate).  So don't expect that to happen anytime soon.

I've never understood SR's inability to employ someone with experience who can step straight into the job.
They always have to try and find the next big thing. I can only assume it's because they see it as a money making opportunity when a bigger club comes in for our manager.

Says a lot about how far we’ve fallen that Carrick is considered a good appointment. Bored everyone to tears at Middlesbrough who are now playing much more to their level now he’s gone. 
 

Better than Still and more experienced at this level sure, but perhaps says a lot about the lack of quality candidates available that he’s high up the list. Don’t think anyone would have touched him with a barge pole in the summer.
