Gloucester Saint Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Shane Long worth a go in goal let alone George Long.
S-Clarke Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago He needs to retire from football. He can't play it. 6 1

Saint Matty 76 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Awful for the goal and so lucky not to bobble another one to make it 2-2. McCarthy is still a depressing lesser of two evils. 4
Lord Duckhunter Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago This is getting beyond a joke now. Their goal 100% down to him, then a fucking fumble, then remarkably he held onto to the ball too long. Completely unprofessional at the end gifting a corner like that. Fucking shocking, and to think some people defend him… 10

A pretty decent source, that is all I am prepared to say. Not particularly happen about it,I do worry if Bazunu and Stephens are in the starting eleven. Interestingly, as soon as Still has gone, Baz is straight back in the nets 1
Tommy Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago okay, i'm now officially in the get rid space... i've tried to back this lad hoping one day it clicks and he comes good, but hes just so sunday league.

bpsaint Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago He’s dog shit, and always has been. Him being bought back into the side has been instructed from above, you can’t convince me otherwise. 5
Turkish Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago £10m and came straight into the first team as a premier league goalkeeper. The symbol for all the the things wrong with these owners 18

AlexLaw76 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Had a quick scroll back through some random pages. There are a few who surprised me claiming that Baz is/would be perfectly fine for this league. 👀 1
dsrdorset Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Must never be seen anywhere near a Saints shirt again. Ever. 2
ErwinK1961 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Didn’t follow the game and have just read the OS match report, which referred to Bazunu making a flying stoppage time save to secure the win. Saw this thread and not the response I was expecting 😂 2
Stud mark of doom Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Absolute liability - as usual. How he gets a game above McCarthy is surely nothing to do with winning games of football. 4
sockeye Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I am so so sick to death of this player Of hearing about him, talking about him and seeing him play Yet another howler today. How will we still be fielding Bazunu and McCarthy as our goalkeepers in 2026!!! Like Turkish said, the founding father of SR's terrible recruitment 3

Agreed but you just know who’s gonna be between the sticks on Saturday………. ‘We won ergo Baz must be good GK. We WILL make a profit on our investment!!!!’ Just for the avoidance of doubt I think he is BY MILES the worst GK I have ever seen represent us. The stats prove it, my own eyes prove it. Yet here he is still lurking around and threatening to be between dem ol’ sticks come the next match. Jesus fucking Christ what the fuck is going on. 13

Even gave away a corner for not releasing the ball when we finally won possession, to just invite the pressure back on. Total shit show, thank goodness some of our defenders put their bodies on the line to keep that lead. Hardwood Bellend was almost as bad. Fortunately the Sky commentator told us all it was Stephens, obviously number dyslexic. 5
Jack Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago (edited) The mistake for the goal is one thing, but just how absent he is in his area is an even bigger concern. He doesn’t command it at all. So weak, barely jumps, can’t catch above his head. Our defence doesn’t need any more reason to feel shaky. Macca isn’t perfect but is and always will be a far better goalkeeper Edited 13 hours ago by Jack 10 1

Sheaf Saint Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago 5 minutes ago, trousers said: It did look quite spectacular in real time but it was a pretty regulation save that you'd expect a keeper at this level to make. Yeah there was very little power in that header. He often makes easy saves look harder than they actually are. The one against Wrexham on the opening day right before we equalised is a prime example. Plenty of people were getting excited that his goalkeeping had actually improved since he last played for us and pointed to that as evidence that he would be perfectly ok this season. But if you watch it back, you realise that it was actually a very poorly hit shot, and Baz only just did enough to turn it onto the post. He's an utterly gash keeper that wouldn't get a start for a single other team in this league. I can't believe there are still people on here defending him. Watching him always reminds me of that time we had to put Dexter Blackstock in goal against Newcastle, so little does he resemble a professional keeper. 4
Galway saint Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I find it interesting that Still goes and Baz is straight back in goal. He’s become a bit of a totem for everything that is wrong with the club and perhaps only when he leaves can we say we have turned the corner. Again tonight he looked a small ish bloke playing in goal despite having none of the attributes of a professional goalkeeper. 6

I think your first paragraph is spot on - his size and poor positioning means he has to ‘fling’ himself across goal whereas someone who actually is a goalkeeper would have better anticipation and not have to resort to that
Mboto Gorge Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago The worst keeper I’ve ever seen in 35 years of supporting Saints. Just horrific, and to think we’ve had to stomach him for what, 4 years plus now on and off? It’s beyond a joke and totally symptomatic of the club under these owners. 6

NewYorkSaint Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago We shd play him as striker... I've only seen him in the app penalty area twice. Both times he's scored or forced a goal. lethal header of the ball. Two problems solved in one move!
Convict Colony Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago just to be clear so I understand for the goal cos blackmore has me confused. Their dude got to the ball just before baznu and knocked it round before scoring. Blackmore was advocating he should of cleaned him out but that would of been a pen. Are we saying we expected Baz to get to the ball before the attacker ? 1
Toadhall Saint Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago He scares the shit out of me - everything he does is unconvincing.
Sheaf Saint Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago 1 hour ago, Convict Colony said: Are we saying we expected Baz to get to the ball before the attacker ? Not me. He should have anticipated that he wouldn't get there before the striker and positioned himself better to save any shot. The fact he came out for a ball he was never going to get, and then just threw a pathetic flappy hand at it while standing still and allowing him a free shot at goal is why he's rightly getting pelters for it. 5

BotleySaint Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I've only just seen their goal from last night. He goes to catch the ball and seems to expect it just to come to him. How does not not anticipate the challenge, or even seem to see the QPR player. Honestly, he must be part blind or something and have tunnel vision for the ball. As soon as it goes past him he realises he's made a big f**k up, again. And then later when he makes the saves we're all congratulating him for what is basic expectations. His confidence must be destroyed after all these years of mistakes. Needs to drop down a division or two. 1
LiberalCommunist Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The worry is, we start to get things right up top. A bit of cohesion and confidence returns allowing the forward thinking players to nab a goal or two. Then we throw the result way with a last minute brain fart by the keeper. Just imagine how the players feel. Must be pretty dreadful having this match day feeling.
