obelisk Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago An extra couple of points on Tuesday would have been handy but now it just comes down to having to win two games and hope.
BotleySaint Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago (edited) Bloody hell, Rochdale vs York Rochdale winner late on to get promoted, pitch invasion and mass celebrations. Order is restored and the game resumes, York equalise and are promoted instead. Edited 22 hours ago by BotleySaint

Wed have to beat Ipswich by two clear goals to go above Boro going into the last day. If we beat Ipswich by 1 goal then we'll be above Middlesbrough on goals scored going into the last game 1

sfc4prem Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Much easier if you mentally accept we're playoff bound. 2
benjii Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago 16 hours ago, Lord Duckhunter said: Ipswich need 4 points, QPR home is a gimme, so they need a point tomorrow to make our game pretty irrelevant. WBA need a draw to ensure safety. I know what result my moneys on from WBA Ipswich… Mystic Duck.
benjii Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Ok, second is done. That point is actually a big point for Ipswich. They win on the last day, we can't catch them. Likewise, Milwall. They won't both fail to win, and we have to bear Ipswich three days after a game against Man City to even make it relevant. It's done. However, what will be quite annoying is if Mboro beat us to 4th. So, for that reason, I really hope we beat Ipswich on Tuesday. Which will mean, despite everything I said above, that I will go into the final day of the season thinking that we might get second! 1
James G Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago It's crazy to think though if we'd beaten Bristol City, second place would not be in our hands now. It shows you how close it's been
LiberalCommunist Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Yep, Boro have now changed the parameters. There's no resting or rotating. We are now balls out all the way. And we'll just have to see where that puts us. Makes Downes suspension even more frustrating. The 3 o'clocks today look like the most inconsequential bunch of fixtures I've ever seen. Time for a break before the Pep love in starts.
Jimmy_D Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago That Rochdale pitch invasion has to go down as the worst of all time? 😅 2
LGTL Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Yes, that Boro result means we really have to go all out to get 4th. Which consequently means we could still get 2nd. Weird end to the season.
Mboto Gorge Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago So it’s now confirmed that 84 points would’ve got us second place. Was always going to be unlikely, but if we’d won every game from last Tuesday onwards, we’d have got automatic promotion 1

I think we've done pretty well all Still things considered. 1
Edmonton Saint Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Armstrong has been abject. No coincidence our upturn in form started when he left 1
JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago West ham got the win in the end. Will give them confidence going forwards.
Sheaf Saint Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago 1 hour ago, sockeye said: 4 point gap as things stand Think spurs would be too fragile to overcome that Can't see where they will get any points from their remaining games. Leeds at home looks like their best chance of a win on paper. 1
JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago 4 hours ago, sockeye said: 4 point gap as things stand Think spurs would be too fragile to overcome that Spoke too early! Only 2 points. Saying that West Ham could move 5 points clear IF they beat Brentford which will be tough and spurs lose against Villa. After that west ham have got some tricky games. 2
