Bloody hell, Rochdale vs York

Rochdale winner late on to get promoted, pitch invasion and mass celebrations. Order is restored and the game resumes, York equalise and are promoted instead.

Not necessarily. They are 5-1 up now. Wed have to beat Ipswich by two clear goals to go above Boro going into the last day.

If we beat Ipswich by 1 goal then we'll be above Middlesbrough on goals scored going into the last game

Need Coventry to beat Wrexham tomorrow so Wrexham need a win final day V Boro...fuck me the permutations are starting to hurt my head 😂

Ipswich need 4 points, QPR home is a gimme, so they need a point tomorrow to make our game pretty irrelevant. WBA need a draw to ensure safety. I know what result my moneys on from WBA Ipswich…

Mystic Duck.

Ok, second is done.

That point is actually a big point for Ipswich. They win on the last day, we can't catch them.

Likewise, Milwall.

They won't both fail to win, and we have to bear Ipswich three days after a game against Man City to even make it relevant.

It's done.

However, what will be quite annoying is if Mboro beat us to 4th. So, for that reason, I really hope we beat Ipswich on Tuesday. Which will mean, despite everything I said above, that I will go into the final day of the season thinking that we might get second!

Yep, Boro have now changed the parameters. There's no resting or rotating. We are now balls out all the way. And we'll just have to see where that puts us. Makes Downes suspension even more frustrating.

The 3 o'clocks today look like the most inconsequential bunch of fixtures I've ever seen. Time for a break before the Pep love in starts.

Yes, that Boro result means we really have to go all out to get 4th. Which consequently means we could still get 2nd. Weird end to the season.

So it’s now confirmed that 84 points would’ve got us second place. Was always going to be unlikely, but if we’d won every game from last Tuesday onwards, we’d have got automatic promotion

Difficult to say that for certain as Ipswich weren’t going all out for a win today.

Imagine celebrating promotion, and then not going up. On a similar note it sounds like the blue few are celebrating today as if they had won the league….!…..oh well…..

West Ham winning, spurs drawing.....

4 point gap as things stand

Think spurs would be too fragile to overcome that

Spurs have lost their two strikers to bad injuries now as well. They are in major trouble.

True, but then we had to break win records just to be in that position. I think we've done pretty well all Still things considered.

Can't see where they will get any points from their remaining games. Leeds at home looks like their best chance of a win on paper.

Spoke too early! Only 2 points.

Saying that West Ham could move 5 points clear IF they beat Brentford which will be tough and spurs lose against Villa.

After that west ham have got some tricky games.

Forest were on fire yesterday , Sunderland were undone twatting about around their own penalty area and general poor defending . Forest pressed well up front and just pushed forward .

What an absolutely ridiculous appointment that was in the first place.

Remember kids: Forest fires can be devastating, and, in hot weather, can be started by even one pun on a football forum.

South coast team Worthing up into the National League after securing the title with a win against Ebbsfleet.

My local team where I live! Have been to a few home league games this season, exciting times for them. Think I am right in saying they have never been this high before.

Wrexham just beaten by Coventry, leaves the final play off place still up for grabs on the final day with Hull and Derby still in the mix. All 3 are at home, but Wrexham have toughest looking game vs Boro.

Good for us if Wrexham can beat Boro as a safety net

There's a good atmosphere in the Edinburgh derby.

They're into the joke shop fixture split part of the season.

It's going to be hard enough for Hearts to win the league over Russell Martin's former Rangers and Paul Tisdale's former Celtic.

But harder still is being a goal down and facing 10 men, after the Hibs 'keeper was sent off. It's a nightmare scenario, as it's well known 10 is tougher than 11.

Well there is a good chance as it is the national league south, but I know what you mean 😉. I keep an eye out for Torquay, playoffs again for them!

Worth mentioning that Sholing missed out on the playoffs even though the had a great 0-4 win at Dorchester they missed out to Berkhamsted who also won 2-0, and Sholing needed them to lose.

Winchester City are in the playoffs

Poor from the commentator. I was expecting him to work this into it: “ Lisa Stansfield, Gracie Fields, Cyril Smith , we’ve given your boys a beating ..”

Where are Winchester in the league pyramid (by comparison to Sholing for example)?

I believe Sholing are Division 7 and Winchester City Division 8.
