OK even ignoring the point that has been raised multiple times already about conducting interviews remotely, didn't he say that he wanted to come back to the UK to support his partner through serious illness?

From a Saints perspective, it would be great if Norwich did appoint him now. Not only would it massively reduce our liability to pay up his contract, we haven't played them yet home or away (in the league anyway) so it would be a guaranteed 6 points for us because all we would have to do is put numbers in midfield.

He's had interest from Championship and Ligue 1 so not beyond the realms that he has had an interview at Norwich.

It will be my disappointment but not a real surprise given the seemingly lack of understanding of football at SR

You’d hope they’d read the room better than that, but probably not. They’re on thin ice with the fans. Another bad performance or 2, without fortunate wins to put a gloss on it, the fans will be after the board again. The majority expect them to be taking a new manager search very seriously after what they’ve served up in recent times. Appointing an unknown kid who’s never managed at senior level before would be an extremely stupid move and clearly not what this club needs in a time of crisis.

It's a bit of both I think. Silva has been touting himself about for all sorts (which he has a rep for already), and so has his agent, but that Fulham contract is difficult for another club to get him out of. Was pretty keen on going to Saudi by all accounts and was the top target for the Forest job too

Also, and separately, I noticed that all the other clubs have - from what I can see - publicly stated who they are linked with, even after their search started after ours. SR really do treat the Saints fans with zero respect. Again, unless Ive missed something but thats how it feels.

Probably, works out quite well timing wise.

So, we now have a GK Coach, performance coach (fitness and analysis?), assistant and first team coach roles vacant. Any new manager can now build his own team around him, as we have the space. The only hanger on would be Lallana at this point.

So even less reason, in my eyes, that they'd go for Eckert with such little experience around the place in the coaching setup.

But talk about failing upwards. Trollope and Edwards were both a part in the relegation of Luton to L1, yet they've jumped back up to the prem.

If true it gets madder! Shows they are not that confident in any of the three if they think there'd be a backlash after a loss away to Charlton which many expect to happen anyway regardless of who is in charge. Time SR grew a pair.

I just visited the Swansea City website and unsurprisingly there is absolutely nothing on there about who they have been linked with. Same with Norwich and Boro. Have these three clubs posted something on their social media feeds? If not, then I don't have a clue what you are on about.
