Why are we set up like this. Almost the moment they get the ball we have 5 defenders along the 18 yard line. Just surrendering position immediately

It’s seemingly based on the fact that all our CB’s are pants so their solution is to add numbers to offset lack of ability. Albeit that leads to a load of other problems that we are all too aware of. 
 

I’d have Quarshie in there. Yes, he’s going to make mistakes but then all our CB’s do too. His energy, strength and determination are much needed in this physically and mentally weak team.

Probably the same as happened to Dibling in our PL season. Talented young player dropped into an horrific toxic group, and eventually gets ground down.

Just don’t understand the five at the back.

Clearly has not worked and at this point the caretaker manager has no expectations so why not change it? 
 

Playing a winger who got 14 assists in this league last year at fullback makes no sense

This is prime russball, thinking we are good enough to beat the press but with a team of players not able to play that way , in my mind it’s like the players are choosing the style of play and not the manager ??

We did a goal? 

Fortunate to say the least, but it was positivity from Robinson to battle for that ball and put pressure on it. Need more players to do that.
