Schneiderlin Joins Manchester United (Official)

Bewildered

Actually, its quite good to see that photograph of our owner chatting to a key player. If he does go to Man U I don't suppose the Glazers will tell him apart from a member of the groundstaff. Would be good if Morgan and others reflected on this, but of course they won't.

So true Badger. The informality of Katerina's conversation with Morgan is one of the great things about this Club. As long as it's the Mancs and not the Nth London outfit; Toby bad enough, but Morgan joining that lot would be completely nauseating.

So, what do we do if no one meets our valuation? Do we keep him and accept that next year we will have to sell for 12-15m or do we go back to the table and accept £20m now

Why is this so difficult to understand? If no-one meets our valuation Morgan stays with us, which is the ideal position. What would be the point in having an agreed valuation and then accepting something lower. Why is there a panic to sell? He has 2 years left on his contract. He stays with us, we benefit from having our best player playing for us under the terms of the agreed contract, which we have budgeted for. If someone comes in for him next summer, fine, as long as they meet our valuation, which if we have not extended his contract would be less than now.

Club must believe some sort of agreement is relatively close if he was not used in the pre-season games yesterday as the pictures of him laughing and joking with KL suggest he hasn't got the hump and refused to play or do anything else which would anger the club.

There must be some kind of deadline the club has set. If no CL club completes the transfer at our asking price, by ??? then he stays. We can't let it run till the end of August. Hopefully if he does stay, he'll sign a years extension so we can still get good money next summer if someone comes in. Although I doubt that is very likely.

If we keep him and add Classie, we'll look very strong in midfield. Just cb to sort out then.

An agent who works for Mondial Sports Management (who represent a number of top players: http://www.transfermarkt.com/mondial-sport-management-amp-consulting-sarl/beraterfirma/berater/2106) thinks Schneiderlin's departure will be done and dusted in days.

Same with every transfer rumour now (just look at the Toby saga) loads of "Journalists" looking to break a story and most contradicting each other. Add in the internet and loads of people re-hashing stories and then tweeting or blogging them and your left scratching your head trying to work out what the hell is happening. The Delph to man city story was a done deal according to talksport yesterday that turned out to be a crock.

He would be crazy to sign for Manu with the midfield they have now. He will not be in the starting X1.

As a career move it would be suicide. If he just wants to earn a shed load like Raaaaaaaaaaheeeeeeem - then go for it Morgan!

Eh? He'll start plenty of games and is no doubt seen as a long-term replacement for Carrick.

Anyway, sad to see a player of such class leave but what a pleasure it's been to watch him grow. £25m+ is very good money too, if that's what we've got.
