My research is done.

I remember Noa Kirel from Eurovision a few years ago. Apparently they are the Israel equivalent to ‘Posh and Becks’.

Didn’t he refuse to train to push this deal through? Adding another potential prick to the group is all we need, as we really lack absolute pricks.

Having said that, if he can stop shots that trickle towards him he’ll be the best keeper we’ve had in years.

He missed a training session but their coach came out and said that it was because a flight that he was meant to be on was cancelled outside of his control and he couldn't get back in time, he hadn't refused to train.

Whether that's true or not is another thing, but that's what the Hamburg coach said.

Beginning to wonder if our idiotic staff might fuck this deal up, despite Downs joining Hamburgler FC.

The deal is off. Apparently he didn’t fit into the small sized gloves the kitman has in stock for Bazunu.

I do hope he's good at commanding his box.

I'm here all week.

Dunno anything about this guy, is he going to come straight starting XI?

fully expect him to be in line to step straight in otherwise whats the point, he didn't want to warm a bench!

Knowing the clowns in charge here, he will be behind Long in pecking order

4 Keeepers

8 centre backs

0 strikers

What a squad

Put Baz up top.

When he's gone up for corners he has genuinely offered more threat than Downs ever did. Scored in a friendly I think, and hit the bar in a cup game or something like that? Stuart Pearce used to chuck David James on as CF off the bench for the last 10 minutes when he managed Man City.

Problem solved

If he doesn’t there is zero point in signing him.

Until Bazunu makes a mistake I think Eckert will stick with him.

So you think he'll be subbed in after 10 minutes?

In all honesty that would not surprise me in the least the way this shit show is run.

His performance at Middlesbro' alone should signal the end of his Saints career but I'm not banking on it.

Hope he brings his mrs

I misread that whilst skim reading and thought you said "hope he brings his arms" I thought oh no, not another one with virtual reality arms.

I thought that to win games you had to score more goals than the opposition? So what do SR do, get a goalkeeper in that has been on the bench and hasn't played. If I wanted to win games I would concentrate on getting an attacking goal scorer first? Secondly I would sort out the defence and if it is written in the gods that we have to have a certain quota of possession from tippy tappy backpasses, get some defenders with the quality to play that way. (Or perhaps get a quality Coach/manager that make them stop the tippy tappy and get rid of ones who can or will not change). With a defence and attacking mindset we may not have needed to replace Baz (yes I think he could do a good job if the confidence and stuffing had not been knocked out of him from the many defensive errors). We showed in the run of games/wins that the players bothered in, to get Eckhart the job, that there are some good players in the squad when they can be bothered. It needs a coach that can instil some discipline and get the best out of them. Lastly I would go and get another unproven goalkeeper from the bench somewhere else who can be thrown in front of a rubbish defence and become another target for the boo boys. It makes me wonder if SR just want to make mid table championship obscurity their own 😇

Im not sure, he must know the noise going on with the fans and if he remains stubborn the focus of the ire may well focus on him. He needs to win the fans around and SPors probably knows this as well. Of course this keeper may be as poor, but if he starts dominating the area I feel the rest of the team will gain some confidence. Having a keeper that saves the ball and takes the pressure off the defence by collecting a cross will breath a bit more into our defence

Not sure but suspect McCarthy would have started in the Cup, what happens now is anyone's guess but I would get Peretz in immediately.

Hopefully can come straight in and most importantly he can command the box.

If so it'll make the CB jobs much easier as they won't have to defend the 6 yard line like they do with the very poor Bazanu.

Well his assessment and qualities detailed further up in this thread (or the transfer thread?) says that one of his weaknesses is commanding his box. Oops! Also if the team played forward instead of across the six yard box with many errors then Bazunu would not be the problem.

I’d be inclined to view the playing conditions before pitching him in on Saturday.

It would make sense to play him in many ways, but I wouldn’t risk him getting an injury on a frozen pitch. Although that would fit in with our luck and decision making.

Injured GK for rest of season to join Stewart seems all too predictable.

Daniel Peretz: Weaknesses
  • Aerial Defence His biggest vulnerability is in aerial situations; he does not challenge often for aerial balls and appears to lack comfort in this area.
