Apart from starting Archer - and there may be reasons for that in terms of match fitness of the other two strikers - Tonda didn't do much wrong, did he? Lots of moaning on here, quite rightly for the first half performance, but that wasn't all down to him. For example, Jander was bloody great on Saturday but played like he was pissed tonight. Is that Tonda's fault? All the subs had an impact and were made just at the right time. Asking him to take two players off after 20 minutes is ludicrous. the long and shirt of it is he inspired one of the greatest come backs in our history. I'm getting a bit bored of the constant Tonda bashing. Perhaps some on here need to give him some credit when we fucking win - like tonight.

That's a fair viewpoint 👍🏻

A result like that, with the form bubbling away, has to provide a huge lift/opportunity.

3 home games on the bounce, after the next (FA Cup) it is Charlton and QPR at home...got to be....surely???

That’s a great shout

I’ll say this for as poor as the first half was and that was squarely on Tonda’s selection he had the balls to make the right changes. On reflection taking off Bree was a good decision and bringing on Manning was also the right move.

The players look right behind the manager and they played out of their skins in the second half. Great fight, great result, mixed performance.

Archer should never sniff the shirt again, he’s done.

Loved the bree move, they take off their winger for a cb. Ok we’ll counteract and match you.

ChatGPT and Google Gemini saying we’ve never coming from 3 0 down to win before. Happy to be corrected.

I recall us coming back from 2-0 away at Preston in 2008, but I don't recall us ever coming back from three down away in my lifetime.

Posted this elsewhere - and I mean it....

Well the BBC scores page made it more exciting believe it or not - it was 3-1 to Leicester City at 90+2.

Anyway I am really happy for all the long-standing loyal fans who have gone to every game over the last few seasons - home and away, spent money, travelled miles and seen some dire rubbish and probably had the mickey taken out of them for months and months.

Enjoy every moment fans - every single second for as long as you can - you deserve it.

I'll be honest, since 1970 I can't remember a Saints win like this - so it is fantastic for us all.

Wow, stunned. Can’t remember a better comeback.
Was fully expecting full capitulation after gifting them the lead so really great to see some real passion and fight.
Hopefully Tonda learns from this, play your best players, don’t change a winning team, don’t dick around with it at the back, get on the front foot and play to our strengths with the quality we have in attack etc.

But anyway, get the fook in!

Wow, just wow.

I stuck a few quid on at 3-1 so I’m doubly pleased.

Will give Tonda some credit for the changes but it didn’t really have to be THAT hard, they’re woeful.

Well done the players and from what I saw and heard, the fans too.

Hopefully it’s wins like this that will provide momentum from here on.

And it’s so nice to be on the other end of a win like this, and not the crumble side of things.

Stupendous result but doesn't absolve Eckert's abject decision making in the first half. Should have been much more comfortable than it was but, f**k it, a win's a win...hoorah!!

Yeah but let's enjoy this today. This happens so infrequently and especially to saints. I'd start Archer in the cup in the hope that he maybe gets a bit of confidence.

Apparently it's only ever happened 5 times in Premier League history, so there are a lot of teams who have never done it.

Not just because of the goal (as good as it was), but Charles looks a good player and someone to build a team around. Surely must start.

hes actually done well in the 2nd half!

By done well. Do you mean putting the strongest 11 on the pitch (basically)...

I'll give him credit, he did turn it around. But that first half was so bad the 2nd half cannot fully excuse it.

He made excellent adjustments, so he was very involved.

while the archer thing backfired, he could hardly have predicted fellows and jander would go rogue and play for the opposition.

The changes were blatantly obvious. I don’t think he deserves credit for pulling those three.

Good points, but I think he should have at the very least hooked Jander when he got booked. Obviously he couldn't have foreseen what a terrible game he was going to have beforehand, but once it became obvious what a mare he was having, it was negligent to leave him on until HT.

Behave. Starting Archer wasn't wise, but it may have been a Stewart fitness thing. Starting Jander and Fellows wasn't a mistake though.

Exactly. Had he picked Matsuki to start over Fellows everyone would have be moaning. He made one change that everybody wouldn’t have made, but more than made up for it second half. I had this I follow thing on my firstick with Blackmore commentary. He couldn’t work out why he took Bree off, urging him to take a central midfielder off (Downes I presume). Funny that with Bree gone, Charles shifted over slightly, and scored from where Bree probably would have been.

He got it wrong leaving Stewart out, but he needs praise for the way he sent them out second half. First time for years, we haven’t rolled over after getting a chasing first half.

Jack & THB lead from the front, brilliant performance second half…

But starting archer was the key issue. We had no option to get out from the press. I cannot comprehend how he hasn’t understood that from the last couple of months. It’s obvious when I looked at the team sheet that was going to be a problem. On the positive the players seem to have developed guts over the past couple of games which we haven’t seen for a long time

Larin needs to start on Saturday. Try and get him fully fit incase the seemingly inevitable Stewart injury happens.

BBC Sports app notifications fucked up, game was 1-3 as far as I was concerned, heard a ping, assumed it was final whistle and we’d lost, WTF!!!!

You assume that Stewart was fit to start. I'm assuming he wasn't.

Awesome win. Tonda still needs to go away from our club. He is just guessing all the time.

Yeah, 4 wins in the last 5 and a draw away in the derby... clueless!

Well you say it wasn’t a mistake…. Two things we do know for certain, one is Jander cannot play two games in a week, we all know that but the manager doesnt…

Second, Fellows has not been great for a little while now and so it was coming that we needed to have an alternative….

Quite a few idiots on here need to wobble their heads. Doubt they have the guts to retract all their spiteful venom aimed at the manager and certain players at HT.

Thanks captain hindsight.

You can thank me for calling them shits at half time and turning off the telly, thus giving them the luck and impetus to win.

Great comeback though and credit to the team and fans there.

That was pretty mental that second half. I remember it happening to us twice, Leeds and Tranmere so imagine just how pissed off Leicester fans are right now. What a great feeling to win like that. Love it!

He had two proper 9 strikers who could have played 45 mins each. He also has oyekunle. Playing a small 9 has been one of the killers all season, as well as playing a back 4 instead of a back 3 (which he eventually grasped). I don’t rate him but regardless it’s a superb result mentally. The players will get huge confidence and team spirit from this which is great

maybe not the time, but unless he signs a new contract soon, then we wont see the best of him. He looked a class above tonight. He's got the first touch to play at a higher level and the loan to Wednesday has got him making deep runs too.

Surely he should have hooked Jander well before half time if he was playing like he was pissed?! It's fantastic we came back, but this was a once in a lifetime occurrence, we should never have been 3 down to this Leicester side, and he should have acted sooner with Jander's bizarre performance.

To be fair, local league football, I can't remember too many games where it happened. I can think of a few were were were cruising about 6-2 and won 7-5 or something but I don't remember winning or losing too often after being 3-0 up or down at halftime.

That's how difficult it really is.
