SNSUN Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago When was our last win after extra time (so not penalties?)

Vancouver Saint Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Well a good win in the end despite the 'we couldn't show more we don't care about this game' selection - Saints Young Boys beat Leicester's old boys. Leicester must really be sick of the sight of us - gotta love it! Positives - Edozie, Bragg, Larin, pretty much all the youngsters that cam on gave a good account of themselves. Jelert grew into the game before going off. Romeo got some decent minutes in without incident and one great goal-saving tackle. Negatives - Archer, seriously, what a waste of a shirt - what has happened to him? George Long less than convincing, Quarshie and Woods showing why they are second-stringers with lots of mistakes better sides would have punished. 3
Hoggins Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Who are the people on here still criticising Tonda? is it Will Still and his brothers? 1

Verbal Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago An idea floated on the Leicester forum, that you might as well appoint Jeffrey Epstein as manager given how so many reputations have torched in the last week, gets this word of encouragement: At least he'd invest in the youth 1 9
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Normally, when we consistently weaken our side, while the opponents bring on experience, it doesn't go well. Credit to Tonda. He knows them from the Under 21s, and had them well drilled. They all had bright moments, and energy. Leicester's squad looks mentally shot, reducing any impact they could bring on. But credit to the youngsters, for making sure Leicester felt that way. They didn't offer much up. We had a Quarshie line clearance as their best effort, after their equaliser. Tonda bringing on Azaz as well as the kids was also an excellent choice. He gelled everything together. Just not Archer's day again today. At least he got into some good finishing positions. Right for the shape of the side, that Azaz came on though. Also pleased for Bree. He's always been solid for us, as the club has meltdowns around him. A player I'd not mind seeing staying on. An excellent week, right across the squad and club. 13

goodymatt Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago What a week it’s been, absolutely taken the piss out of Leicester and it’s been long overdue. Only downside is Archer, he’s pretty much ended his Saints career this week with his performances. Like with Downs, he’s now getting ironic cheers when subs are replacing him. He’s not been great for his entire stay but he appears to have completely run out of Space Jam. Leicester are so bad and he’s had basically 2 open goals to kick start his confidence but he’s just collapsed. 2

OneMrsWallace Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I went swimming during extra time thinking we'd probably lose so double Valentine's celebration tonight (We've been married 30 years, it doesn't happen often). Creds to TE, seems to be learning. Really hope Bree signs a new contract, good solid pro. Monday night draw. Yay. 2

swedish dave Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Interesting note that Leicester finished the game with half of their regular line-up, whilst Saints ended with 5 of their U21 Academy side, several of whom played 45 mins in the U21 game v Liverpool U21 on Friday night. Good chance for young talents to get some real game time. What a good thing that we only loaned James Bree to Nathan Jones - instead of selling him. 6
Tamesaint Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Don't know why people are concerned about Leicester. The have Super Joe Aribo to save them in their relegation struggle 2

chownie20 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Are Jelert and Quarshie injured? Any other casualties?
kitch Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Just got back. Leicester beaten by our U21s...you love to see it! Pros: Bragg immense, joint MOTM with Quarshie for me. Ori was decent too. Larin worked hard, Wood decent and all the youngesters played their part. Bree excellent when he came on. Into the next round and all important players protected. Cons: Jesus, Archer is poor! Manning got/cold. Jelert not great in the first half but picked up. What a great week! 5

macca155 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Grumpy about extra time, made me late for my curry. Great run out for the U21s, who equipped themselves well. There is some real talent there. Williams came on for the excellent Romeu and looked very good. Very strong in the tackle and always available. Oyekunle was equally a handful. Saints don't need to keep buying players, the future is right there under their noses. Bragg showed his class, keeping him out of the 1st team will be difficult now. The defence was really solid, Leicester struggled to get through. Took an overhead kick to score a goal. They really do have a lot of problems. For once Saints dominated midfield. Bragg, Williams, and Azaz really clicked at the end. Same old story though, not enough of an outlet up front. Archer missed his 2nd 6 yard sitter of the week. Another good win, into the draw we go 1

Cabrone Posted 40 minutes ago Posted 40 minutes ago Good stuff, always good to be in the cup, some of my best memories are from cup games. We're not going to win it but hopefully we'll at least get a tie with a decent prem team and a memorable day out. Also keeps the momentum up, never a bad thing to be winning whatever the competition.
Appy Posted 38 minutes ago Posted 38 minutes ago Great win but we’re a Peretz injury away from a whole heap of problems.
