Felt a weird move by Edwards at the time ( I assume he was told he would be safe) as they were already doomed.

Equally, there's a fair chance this new move will end badly, whereas at least Edwards had a track record in the division.

Transfer window isn't open and Newcastle contract doesn't expire until June 30, so presumably nothing with Wolves is anything more than a pre-agreement until July 1, when he would actually be under a binding contract

No parachute payments this year mean they have to raise funds to cover the wages of any players they can't shift and that usually means selling good players on small wages.

Think Callum O’Hare was player of the season and this other fella was players player of the season and young player of the season. Not that it makes much difference, seems to be rated quite highly

Ah ok, fair enough. I misread that then. 

Does seem like a decent signing on paper. Their second half of the season was decent too.
